4/9
Point-to-point winner in January and made a solid enough start to his career under Rules when second to a runaway winner over C&D last month. Likely to progress and should be in the firing line here.

Horse silk
Diminpetep1221
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Nick Scholfield| T: J Scott
33/1
Shown next to nothing in three starts so far and plenty to prove here, not least suitability of the trip and ground.

From same yard as Diminpete and like his stablemate, has shown very little in three starts and can't be considered a likely winner either.

Behind Ballydun Oscar here last time out and given he'd already been beaten twice at odds-on before that, doesn't appear to be progressing and now has a bit to prove. Form entitles him to be on the premises but clearly not one for maximum faith.
Won a weak point-to-point last year but a beaten favourite in that sphere a few times after and showed little on Rules debut at Uttoxeter, looking a hard ride. No realistic chance.
Just the merest glimmer of ability in four starts to date but nowhere near enough to think she can challenge the main protagonists here.

Regressive on the Flat after just a handful of starts for Rae Guest, her best run coming in a seller at Leicester back in 2015, and having not been seen out for almost 1000 days, can only be watched on debut for new yard.

Horse silk
14/1
Already on her third trainer despite just having had the six runs, has shown very little and despite being in good hands, there must be stamina doubts about her at this trip. Little to recommend her chance.

Forecasts

Ballydun Oscar (4/9), Ringa Ding Ding (6/4), Hoover Fever (14/1), Secret Palace (16/1), Royal Chieftain (25/1), Diminpete (33/1), Igougo (40/1), Dawn's Little Lady (66/1)

Verdict

This has the look of a match about it, and given Ballydun Oscar has already beaten Ringa Ding Ding under similar conditions there seems no reason to think he won't do so again. The scrap for third can be won by Dawn's Little Lady.
  1. Ballydun Oscar
  2. Ringa Ding Ding
  3. Dawn's Little Lady
