Dark Angel colt that cost £100,000 as yearling. Dam (by Dubawi) is related to plenty of winners. Showed signs of inexperience on Lingfield debut in a slowly run race. The straight track here helps as does a lack of credible opposition.

15,000 gns son of Dream Ahead out of a dam who won from 7f-1m2f and who has produced two winners who were effective over the same distances. Likely to know his job, but no doubting an extra furlong would have been ideal.

Dark Angel colt who cost 130,000gns as a yearling but who also failed to beat a rival on his debut.

Kodiac colt, cost 140,000 gns as a foal and 240,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners and dam a sister to multiple Group 1 winner Soviet Song. Would be expected to come on for his debut, but that improvement needs to be dramatic.

Failed to improve on his debut effort and probably one to keep an eye on for nurseries in the near future.

Half-sister to sprint winners Curious Fox and Dorkhel. Attracted support on Goodwood debut and the winner has since been placed in Listed company.

Forecasts

Alsimsaam (5/4), Reddiac (11/4), Sky Patrol (11/2), Dark Vision (8/1), Rita's Folly (10/1), Greybychoice (40/1)

Verdict

ALSIMSAAM was very green on debut in a race which would not have been run to suit and he can go one better here. Rita's Folly was third to a smart looking winner on debut and looks the main threat, whilst the Mark Johnston newcomer, Dark Vision, and the once-raced Reddiac can fight out the minor places.
  1. Alsimsaam
  2. Rita's Folly
  3. Reddiac
