Dual AW winner on his first two career starts who has only once run on turf (has the look of one whose been hard to train). Latest AW run much better than final placing (back from break); has to show that he can reproduce the same form on turf.
Failed to win for over two years now and has a 0/11 turf record but looks to be very little wrong with his attitude and not written off. Does remain well above his last winning mark though and could use some help from the handicapper.
Useful sort who is approaching the veteran stage now and looks vulnerable to younger performers having not won since September 2015. Steadily slipping down the handicap of late but looks to have plenty to prove in this grade at least.
Arguably better on the AW (has a higher rating in that sphere) although he did run a decent 4th last time out at Ayr in the same pay grade. Looked to hit the front too soon there and has finished rather weakly on occasions; more of a place prospect.
Now back with his initial trainer after spending the winter in Qatar winning twice at up to 1m on turf. This will be his first try in handicaps but he looks to have been handed a stiff mark up against some established performers.

Masham Star (5/4), War Glory (6/4), Plutonian (9/4), Poets Dream (6/1), Brittanic (10/1), Bronze Angel (16/1)
A soft lead and a good Jamie Spencer ride contributed to PLUTONIAN making it 2/2 here and a similar performance could be on the cards here with apprentice Jason Watson being used to combat the rise in the weights. Britannic has to show that he can cut the mustard on turf but the quick ground may suit and he’s not totally written off because of the surface. War Glory hasn’t as yet won on turf but acts on it although his mark still looks a little high with Masham Star looking the most likely to chase home the suggestion.
