Back from a break and debuts for a new yard, so merits a betting check. Does have a stiff test ahead on these terms though. (Races from 11lb above last winning mark.)
Consistent profile of late and goes well here. Just 2lb higher than last winning mark and, with the ground expected to suit, makes plenty of appeal in an ordinary contest such as this.
Shown a liking for being kept busy of late and has brushed aside moderate opposition with a degree of ease in her last two starts. More to do under a 6lb penalty and vulnerable to a late finisher. But has to be respected.
Has just a solitary win on the AW to his name but has been in fair form in that sphere. Turf form has been below that standard up to now and the fact he remains winless from seven previous outings has to be a concern.
Enjoyed a purple patch on the AW with a brace of wins over this trip. Up another 3lb for this return to turf and needs to post a career-best effort if he going to extend the winning sequence.
Three starts this season haven't set the pulse racing and looks up against it from 3lb out of the weights. Others readily preferred this time around.
Forecasts
Glamorous Rocket (11/10), Roundabout Magic (11/4), Hurricane Alert (6/1), Spin Top (8/1), Defining Moment (10/1), The Big Short (20/1), Deer Song (33/1)
The consistent ROUNDABOUT MAGIC has a live chance of stamping his authority over his field over a C&D that suits his style of running. Glamourous Rocket has hit form with a vengeance of late and, as a likely front-runner, has to merit respect once more. Similar comments apply to Hurrican Alert but this looks a bit tougher than the company he's been keeping on the AW and it will take a bold effort from him to land his three-timer.
