Went close in Newmarket 6f auction race last month but hasn't built on that in three subsequent starts, although his fourth to Arthur Kitt at Haydock a week later looks good now given the winner's Royal Ascot triumph.
Runner-up to the same horse at both Windsor and Salisbury in his two starts to date, this Born To Sea colt may be helped by the extra furlong and shouldn't be far away. although draw could have been kinder.
Just £2,500 colt by Requinto out of dam from family of 1000 GUineas winner Sleepytime. Makes his racecourse bow at a track where connections have a good record and shouldn't be dismissed solely on account of purchase price.
€18,000 Champs Elysees colt made a promising start when a staying-on sixth of 12 in a recent Thirsk novice auction stakes. Missed break but stayed on nicely final furlong so extra furlong here should help. Nicely drawn as well.
66/1 both starts so far including here earlier this month when distant seventh, although did pass a few late on. Likely to need more time.
£20,000 daughter of Toronado out of very speedy listed race winner makes debut here. Yard capable of getting one ready first time out so worth checking for any market interest.
10,000 guineas daughter of Sea The Moon out of a Shamardal mare. Likely to be best at middle distances in time and disappointed when last of four on latest start.
Mukhadram filly out of a listed placed mare. Has shown ability on both starts without getting involved at the business end of her races and have much luck last time. Low draw might prompt a change of tactics and see her ridden more prominently.
Beaten a long way on both outings so far, including here last time over 6f when she was always struggling. Faces another tough task.
Slow away and always behind in both outings thus far and it would take a mighty leap of faith to suggest she'll figure in the finish here. Needs more time.
Forecasts
Even Keel (15/8), Axel Jacklin (3/1), Ghost Queen (4/1), Great Scot (5/1), One To Go (7/1), Anonymous Blonde (16/1), Chitra (50/1), Precision Prince (66/1), Sinndarella (100/1), Pink Porrino (100/1)
GHOST QUEEN has bagged the inside draw and if able to get away on terms might put behind her a troubled run last time when she fluffed the start. The experienced Axel Jacklin should give a good account of himself under the top jockey at this track, while Even Keel hasn't done much wrong in his two starts so far, chasing home the same decent sort on both occasions. One To Go is a potential improver after a fair first effort, while Great Scot and Anonymous Blonde may be best of the newcomers.
- Ghost Queen
- Even Keel
