Society Rock colt, cost 25,000 gns as a yearling and £24,000 as a Breeze-up purchase. Half-brother to three winners. Improved from debut to win in impressive fashion at Goodwood earlier this month. Has a penalty to carry but should improve again.

Dragon Pulse colt, dam a half-sister to Listed winner over this trip. Makes appeal on pedigree and the booking of Atzeni is eye-catching. Worth a market check on debut.

Dandy Man colt, cost 28,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to a juvenile winner over further. Likely to need the run on debut here and may do better given more of a stamina test.

7/1
Foxwedge colt, cost 24,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners including a juvenile winner over this trip. Dam a juvenile winner over 7f. Yard capable of readying a newcomer and this looks like a suitable test on debut.

Swiss Spirit colt, cost 21,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to four winners over further. Ran with credit on debut at Newmarket but didn't really improve from that at Carlisle last time and looked an awkward ride. Perhaps best watched at present.

Alhebayeb colt, cost €18,000 as a foal and 13,500 gns as a yearling. Some promise on debut but didn't go on from that at Leicester on second outing. Booking of Moore an obvious plus but others make more appeal.

Foxwedge colt, cost 12,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a half-sister to a winner over 1m1f. Well beaten on both career starts and may do better when tried in handicap company.
Approve colt, cost 14,000 gns as a yearling and 3,500 gns as a two-year-old. Half-brother to a winner and dam a half-sister to three winners over middle distances. Makes limited appeal.

Foxwedge gelding, cost 5,500 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to two juvenile winners over this trip. Dam a winner over middle distances. Likely to appreciate this test on debut and yard do well with juveniles. Market check advised.

Lope De Vega filly, cost 26,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a winner on dirt over 5f (also won on turf over 7f). Interesting runner for a yard that are in good form at present. Not ruled out.

Horse silk
66/1
Garswood filly, cost 10,000 gns as a yearling and 34,000 gns as a Breeze-up purchase. Half-sister to a winner. Has looked in need of the experience on both outings to date and may need more time to be seen to best effect.

Horse silk
9/2
Camacho filly, cost €13,500 as a yearling. Closely related to juvenile winner over 7f and half-sister to three winners. Dam a half-sister to a Listed winner. Plenty to like about her debut effort and likely to appreciate the step up to this trip.

Forecasts

Antonia Clara (3/1), Celsius (7/2), Happy Odyssey (9/2), Society Shock (5/1), Fox Coach (7/1), Strawberry Jack (10/1), Swiss Peak (12/1), Gunforhire (16/1), Mohogany (28/1), Quanah (66/1), Roca Magica (66/1), Approve The Dream (80/1)

Verdict

HAPPY ODYSSEY gets weight from all her rivals here and she looks sure to appreciate the step up to 6f here after a very promising debut over the minimum trip. At the other end of the weights, Society Shock can't be ruled out despite having to carry a penalty for an impressive win last time. There's plenty of interesting newcomers in the line up and Fox Coach should be suited by this trip for his first outing.

  3. Fox Coach
