110,000 guineas Kodiac colt was green and lost a lot of ground on debut at Yarmouth recently. Recovered to chase leaders before early effort took its toll. Will know more this time.

€1,000 son of Es Que Love made debut at Newcastle three weeks ago and got tired soon after halfway, finishing seventh of 10. Needs to take a very big step forward and this looks tough.

Heeraat colt who outran his odds on debut to finish a good runner-up at Chelmsford a couple of weeks ago. over 6f. Drops back to minimum trip and should be there or thereabouts for last year's winning yard.

Made a promising debut at Leicester four weeks ago when only beaten a neck into third in 5f novice stakes. This 120,000 guineas son of Slade Power started slowly but finished fast so if jumping away on terms here has to have a leading chance.

Bated Breath colt who showed some ability when fourth on debut at Hamilton having run green for much of the race. Yard continues to fire in the winners so is certainly respected.

23,000 guineas Zoffany colt made debut in hot Newmarket 6f event won by last week's Coventry Stakes hero Calyx. Was well beaten but this is much easier and any market interets would be noteworthy.

Finished last on both starts so far and has it all to do once again. Looks of limited ability on evidence to date.

Forecasts

Jack's Point (6/4), Deputise (11/4), Haadhir (4/1), Blame Roberta (11/2), Mr Diamond (17/2), One One Seven (14/1), Giacomo Casanova (20/1), Rajman (20/1), Fizzy Feet (40/1), Sophosc (40/1), Sing Bertie (100/1)

Verdict

An interesting juvenile contest in which DEPUTISE is marginally preferred to Jack's Point. The selection fluffed the start on debut before recovering well only to tire late on. He'll know more now and is bred to be decent. Jack's Point was also slow to go on his first start but came home well and nearly landed the spoils. He won't go down without a fight. Haadhir, Mr Diamond and Blame Roberta are others who may well have a say in this.
  1. Deputise
  2. Jack's Point
  3. Blame Roberta
