Distance winner last seen finishing down the field in a Leopardstown listed event in October. May need seasonal start here.
C&D winner earlier this month when beating War Hero in to second place by ¾L. Kept on well that day despite racing keenly in the early stages and another bold show off a 5lb higher looks likely.
Well held and never nearer on return to the track on seasonal debut on his first start since August when finishing last of 13 at Naas last month. Others preferred.
Landed a 16/1 shock when winning a Limerick handicap on good ground earlier this month finishing 1L ahead of 10 rivals. Likely to go well again despite 5lb penalty.
Not beaten far but always held in two starts over this trip since April including when third of seven beaten 3½L at Naas last month. Liable to find a couple stronger.
Makes a quick reappearance following a fourth of six in a Sligo handicap on Tuesday. Not disgraced in his last three starts and deserves a change of luck. Conditions to suit today and could make his presence felt.
Distance winner who was beaten favourite last time out in a Limerick handicap when second of 11 beaten 1L behind Have A Nice Day. Drop in trip may assist but plenty more needed here.
Winner over 5½f in a Navan handicap in April before finding the 5lb penalty too much in spins at the Curragh and Fairyhouse recently. Not ruled out but a couple of below par runs to shake off.
Distance winner but that was a while ago. Well held in two starts recently for Willie McCreery and now makes his debut for leading yard. Ground a concern on stable debut.
C&D winner of Gowran Park handicap on good to firm ground beating 13 rivals by ½L last month before a below par display at Fairyhouse earlier this month. Faster ground to suit here.
Forecasts
Turbine (3/1), St Brelades Bay (5/1), Sometimesadiamond (5/1), Silverkode (7/1), That Is The Spirit (7/1), Tribal Path (7/1), Have A Nice Day (12/1), Mokhalad (14/1), Arbourfield (20/1), Sevenleft (25/1)
THAT'S THE SPIRIT was a C&D winner earlier this month when beating War Hero in to second place by ¾L and if settling during the race can make light of the 5lb hike in the weights. In a combative event Silverkode, Sometimesadiamond, Have A Nice Day and Turbine are all entitled to make the shortlist and are all capable of hitting the frame in a fascinating contest.
- That Is The Spirit
- Have A Nice Day
- Turbine
