Still only has one win to his name with that success coming on his second start as a juvenile. Has run respectably and nothing more of late with the handicapper unwilling to ease him; cheekpieces now tried to eke out some improvement.

An AW winner over the winter at this trip off a 1lb higher mark and looked as though she was on the way back last time without there being a full scale revival on the horizon. Chance if backing up that run with good apprentice booked.

Showed some good and progressive form when with Michael Bell last year taking three events over 6f. Now returns to that trip after running too freely on his return (first run for yard) and noted with that run tucked away.

Not the most reliable but did win a C&D handicap last summer off a 1lb lower mark but has looked rather quirky since then. Failed to build on a promising penultimate run last time and hard to support with confidence.

All his wins have come at 7f and further so it remains to be seen how he reacts to going sprinting having already won this season at his preferred trip. Mark still works workable if he can find the pace for this event.

Not an easy sort to win with as his career record of 1/16 shows and has yet to win a handicap. His last run at Doncaster was a creditable one and would give him a chance if repeated but that's not a given.

Some efforts that look solid enough in handicaps although he is 0/5 in this sphere and his best runs have come over 7f. Does look rather vulnerable off a mark like this though to any improving sorts in the line-up.

Winner on debut as a two-year-old (at Windsor, 6f) but only seen twice since getting back on track at the track where he made his debut last time. Now makes his handicap debut off a mark that looks workable and one to note in the market.

Now makes her handicap debut after chasing home a smart William Haggas runner at Redcar last time in a novice event who has won again since. Blinkers are now employed for the first time and a winning debut in this sphere would not surprise.

Not the most consistent of animals but has now slipped back below his last winning mark and should remain competitive. Finished third in this race last year (arguably stronger running) off a 6lb higher mark.

Forecasts

Left Alone (9/2), Show Stealer (5/1), Rockies Spirit (11/2), Buridan (7/1), Kodiline (15/2), Mont Kiara (8/1), Envisaging (9/1), In The Red (11/1), Meshardal (12/1), Hart Stopper (16/1)

Verdict

Couple making their handicap debuts here are of interest with BURIDAN the main player given that he was second to a potential Group class horse last time out at Windsor. Left Alone is the other handicap newcomer to note who was third in a Redcar race that is working out well. Show Stealer and Hart Stopper are two other that are worth noting based on their recent outings with preference for the latter to fill out the places.
