Drops back in trip for her third career start (now hooded) after finishing a held fifth of ten at Wetherby (1m2f) in early May.

Cape Cross filly out of a French Listed-placed 6.7f/7f winning dam (Waitress). Makes her belated racecourse debut for powerful connections; withdrawn at Newmarket in April 2017.

Keeping on to finishing just over 2L fourth to Bella Ragazza on seasonal reappearance at Goodwood last month (7f good), so should be suited by this step up in trip; holds an obvious chance.

Cost 320,000 gns as a yearling but has taken time to reach the racecourse; showed clear signs of improvement on her second start at Wolverhampton (7f) when finishing 3L third to all the way winner The Chemist.

Poor in three starts in 2017 (5f-6f) and safely ignored here despite the step up in trip.

50/1
Pivotal filly who cost 200,000 gns as a juvenile (dam closely related to the Racing Post Trophy/Dante winner Dilshaan). Possibly has a few stalls related issues based upon what we've witnessed on a racecourse so far and needs more time.

Outpaced on her 7f AW debut a couple of months ago and hard to derive enough positives to merit consideration in this company.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: S H James| T: D O'Meara
10/1
Farhh filly who is a half-sister to the 1m-2m winner Prince Of Arran. Stayed on well from off the pace on debut to finish about 4L sixth of ten to Mystic Meg here (7f) last month; new trip a major plus.

Morticia13
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Connor Beasley| T: K Dalgleish
5/1
Dandy Man filly (£25,000 yearling) who has shown promise in both career starts, including when beaten just a neck by Hasanoanda at Wetherby (1m) a fortnight ago.

Now Then13
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: A Mullen| T: K A Ryan
66/1
Stablemate of Dear Beloved. Well beaten on both starts so far (1m-1m½f) and very difficult to entertain as a result.

Forecasts

Beauty Filly (6/4), Right Direction (7/4), Morticia (5/1), Bedwyyah (7/1), Makawee (10/1), Dear Beloved (50/1), Bittersweet (66/1), Now Then (66/1), Delicate Footsteps (100/1), Cathie's Dream (100/1)

Verdict

Not too many with realistic winning prospects, so there's every chance that the William Haggas-trained BEAUTY FILLY will be back in the winners enclosure for a second time over this longer trip after a perfectly respectable seasonal reappearance at Goodwood (7f). Other possible contenders from powerful stables include Bedwyyah and Right Direction, but the less obvious horse for forecast purposes is Makawee who has previous course experience in the bank and should relish today's extra furlong.
  1. Beauty Filly
  2. Makawee
  3. Bedwyyah
