3/1
Improving filly since joining Clive Cox, has won her last two at Leicester (7f, good to firm) and Goodwood (6f, good). Up another 5lb but looks destined for key role again back up in distance.

7/1
Lightly-raced sort who has shown ability but does need to settle better in his races to realise her true potential. Respectable third of right in handicap at Nottingham (1m½f, good to firm) on seasonal bow. Drops in distance and maintains potential.

AW winner at Lingfield over a mile in April, ran sound race on turf bow at Goodwood (1m, good to soft) in May when 2L fourth of eight. Drops in trip and must improve.

Has been set a few tough tasks of late but doesn't look particularly well handicapped on the evidence of recent runs. Likely to find one or two of these too good coming back in trip.

Has gone a dozen runs without success since 2016, failing to beat a rival home in two turf starts this season at Brighton. Did run well over 7f on AW at Kempton between times.

Winner at Ripon last August on second start (6f, good to soft), a shade disappointing at Lingfield on the AW on return in April and another backwards step over 7f (good) since at Leicester. Blinkers reached for now.

Great Shot Sam44
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: David Probert| T: A M Balding| OR:  73| D
3/1
Lightly-raced AW winner over this trip in 2017, good effort at Lingfield on return and perhaps did not relish soft going at Chepstow (7f) last month when switched to turf (finished third). Conditions here likely to see her in better light.

40/1
Havana gold filly, cost £40,000 as a yearling, not shown a lot of ability so far in four runs, including when last of 10 at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) last month in first-time blinkers. Headgear dispensed with now.

Sweet Pursuit46
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2| J: Theodore Ladd(7)| T: B R Millman| OR:  63
20/1
Remains 7lb higher than last winning mark and didn't suggest she's going to win soon when finishing last at Bath (5½f, good) behind Powerful Dream on her reappearance. Back up in trip looks a positive.

8/1
Thrice-raced maiden, finished fifth of 12 in minor event at Goodwood (7f, good). Cost 260,000 gns as a yearling and likely to have some potential on better ground for Hannon yard making handicap bow.

Forecasts

Silca Mistress (3/1), Great Shot Sam (3/1), Eula Varner (7/1), Blanchefleur (7/1), Elation (7/1), Hesterya (8/1), Vixen (8/1), Indiscretion (9/1), Sweet Pursuit (20/1), Sarangoo (25/1), Canimar (40/1)

Verdict

SILCA MISTRESS has improved since arriving into the care of Clive Cox and her latest 5lb rise for scoring at Goodwood might not be enough to prevent the hat-trick from clicking. Eula Varner needs to settle better but her Nottingham run suggests she has a role to play if doing so on second start of the term while Chepstow third Great Shot Sam is surely going to be better suited on this forecast decent surface. C&D winner Vixen on the other hand has to prove herself on a decent surfrace, with Hesterya a potential improver worth noting on handicap bow for Richard Hannon.
