Useful sort who didn't quite take to hurdles and has quickly been returned to the Flat running well on his last two starts. Was a little free over 2f further than today here last time and has a decent chance if he settles better down 2f in trip.

Lightly-raced sort on the Flat who won for John Gosden on the level in 2016 before running just once in this discipline for David Pipe. Now with another new yard he failed to build on a promising first outing last time; not seen to best effect.

Won a Sandown maiden last year before reverting to handicaps after a break on the AW. Hasn't beaten a rival home in his last three starts though and now makes his debut for a new yard; previously with Richard Hannon.

Usually likes to go from the front and made all to win at Bath last summer over this trip off this very mark. Not seen on the Flat since last October when he did too much too soon from the front and poor over hurdles on his last two starts.

Quite useful on the Flat his best recent run came when 3rd on the AW although he's hardly a serial winner. Last two runs have come over hurdles and he looked a little quirky and awkward last time; interesting to see his demeanour back on the Flat.

Twice a winner last year over this trip his form started to tail off after the second of those two wins. Gelded for the start of his campaign this year he's only run respectably and no more; didn't look very enthusiastic last time in cheekpieces.

Fair maiden who had some wind surgery before reappearing (poor over jumps when last seen) but has slipped down the weights now and bettered his reappearance run last time. Had no chance with the winner but that run gave some hope for the future.

A winner on his last start for William Haggas over 1m at Newbury off a mark of 75 he's never really fired for this yard at all. Offered little when he was last seen and others offer a far better case.

Ran well enough from out of the weights last time and will have to repeat the trick here (7lb out of the handicap). Never really on terms last time though over 1m and would need others to underperform.

Forecasts

Bid Adieu (5/4), Boycie (4/1), Saxo Jack (5/1), Vincent's Forever (7/1), Maroc (9/1), Bristol Missile (16/1), Native Soldier (20/1), Glens Wobbly (25/1), Living Leader (50/1)

Verdict

Not an awful lot of strength in depth here and BID ADIEU looks to have a good chance of gaining another Flat win especially back to this trip which will prove more suitable than the 1m4f he tried last time. Maroc ran well enough last time he was seen to expect some modest improvement which would again see him having a good chance of reaching the frame at least. Saxo Jack isn’t one to place a tremendous amount of faith in but he still does feature on a good mark returning to the Flat. Vincent’s Forever failed to come on from a promising reappearance last time but he could be the sort who can bounce back here.
