Right back to form on his last two starts, following up a narrow defeat at Haydock with easy success at Ayr last week. Visor there seemed to do the trick, so if in same form here with ideal conditions again, must go close under a penalty.
Capable of very good form when on song (Ayr Bronze Cup winner back in 2015) but is an infrequent winner these days and latest effort off the back of a break at Newmarket left plenty to be desired. Well handicapped, but too risky at present.
These conditions are ideal for him, and he bounced back to form at Ayr on latest start when beaten half a length (made favourite). Possibly a touch unlucky there, so chance off same mark, but worry would be he's not won one since 2015.
Joined Mick Appleby at the start of the season after a disappointing year last year, possibly finding himself poorly handicapped for much of it and now coming back to a more reasonable mark, but still needs to show more spark in his work.
Mark has been steadily in decline for a year now, and he's now 6lb lower than his last win. Has gone well for claiming jockeys in the past, and is blinkered today, so from such a low mark looks a potential fly in the ointment. Not discounted.
Winner over C&D last time out but that was in Class 5 company and on softer ground, so despite being in good form has new questions to answer today. May find others quicker.

Forecasts
Muscika (5/6), Socialites Red (5/1), Red Pike (6/1), Dark Power (6/1), Barrington (7/1), Little Palaver (12/1), Sheepscar Lad (12/1), Go Far (25/1)
None of these will particularly want to lead, possibly with the exception of Socialites Red , but she doesn't look good enough and it makes it a tricky contest. Maybe RED PIKE will be ridden prominently and could be the answer, if so, as he's well enough handicapped and looks ready to finally get his head back in front. Musicka has to be respected under a penalty and Little Palaver will hold chances if responding well to the headgear.
