Had a few trainers and sold for 8,000 guineas in October. Followed wind surgery with a reasonable stable debut that suggested there may be more to come at a mile. Not without hope.

Won over this trip on the fibresand in January but all previous winning form has come at shorter. Held over the C&D last time and doesn't look overly well handicapped.

Well handicapped on old form and gets a welcome drop in class. However only try at a mile previously was in the Britannia back in 2014 and looks a doubtful stayer on ground quicker than ideal.

Needs a strongly run mile so it was impressive that he only went down narrowly on just his second start for his new stable in a slowly run race. That was near enough a career best and there should be more to come.

Made his turf and stable debut over the C&D when winning impressively. He's raised 7lb but there looks a lot more progress in these conditions and remains the one to beat.

Ran in a couple of tough races following last year's maiden breakthrough but well held in all three handicap starts. Best watched on seasonal reappearance.

Makes seasonal reappearance on quite a high mark being 8lb more than his last win. Better suited by testing conditions.

Ran on really strongly when seoond on the AW at the end of last year. 3lb higher but remains on a good mark and likes fast ground. Looks a leading contender.

Forecasts

Breanski (9/4), Enigmatic (5/2), Suzi's Connoisseur (11/2), Lady Freyja (10/1), Secondo (11/1), Carnival King (11/1), Pacific Salt (12/1), Majestic Moon (14/1)

Verdict

Carnival King has a very good record fresh and should be in the mix on this seasonal reappearance. If the pace is strong that would bring out the best in Breanski who looks like he has more to offer now having seemingly improved for his new surroundings. ENIGMATIC won so well on turf debut over the C&D that he could be well ahead of the handicapper and the rise in weights may not be enough to stop him.
  1. Enigmatic
  2. Carnival King
  3. Breanski
