Only beaten a sum total of one rival home in his three starts to date. Hard to fancy on all known form. Wears first-time blinkers.
Well backed on Lingfield debut but failed to deliver and only moderate promise at Kempton next time out. Not seen since but has shown form and not ruled out in this contest.
Kodiac colt, showed very little on debut at Leicester, green in the early stages and shaping with very little promise. Needs to have improved a great deal to have any say.
Improved from debut with a couple of respectable effort at Kempton and then Ripon last month. Interesting enough runner in a race this weak.
Showed some speed on debut and while he was very disappointing at Bath on second start, that run probably too bad to be true. Has claims if bouncing back.
Finished last of 12 at Nottingham on debut, beaten 27L. That was only at the end of last month and hard to imagine she's improved enough in the interim to have a say here.
Couldn't go with the pace at Bath last time but her debut at Wolverhampton was encouraging enough. Not discounted here.
Not beaten all that far given she was 100/1 on debut and improved to finish fourth of 12 at Leicester last time. Not discounted if she can take another step forward.
Well beaten on each of her three starts to date all at big prices and hard to see her getting involved here.
Well beaten on first two starts but produced a moderately better effort in a weak four runner race at Salisbury last time out. Needs more but has shown ability at least.
Improved from her first couple of runs to finish runner-up of 10 in a Beverley claimer last time out, just failing to get up. First start for new yard and not ruled out from a nice draw.
Showed ability on debut at Windsor and did too much too soon at Yarmouth. Produced a better effort at Beverley last time and yard have won the last two renewals of this race. Should go well with top apprentice in the saddle.
Finished last on each of her first two starts and looks largely reliant on first-time blinkers working the oracle.
Forecasts
Solesmes (11/4), Kingi Compton (7/2), Ever Rock (5/1), North Korea (6/1), Wolf Hunter (8/1), Kg Passion (12/1), Adventurous Girl (14/1), Cloud Seeding (16/1), Red Handed (20/1), Spirit Of Society (33/1), The Fluter (50/1), Anthem of Peace (50/1), Alban Lady (66/1)
Only a handful of these have shown any ability but Mick Channon's record in this contest is worth noting and on that basis, SOLESMES is taken to win this after a better run at Beverley last time. Former stablemate Red Handed looks capable of going well after a good run in claiming company last time while the Archie Watson runners both have claims and is't Cloud Seeding that is preferred.
- Solesmes
- Red Handed
- Cloud Seeding
