Showed some ability a couple of times in novice races last year but just looked in need of the experience most of the time. Half-brother Major Jumbo did well in his second season, which gives hope, as does the first time tongue tie. Watch market.
Irish raider (first runner for the yard here), couple of recent efforts at Dundalk rather suggest he's gone off the boil for the time being and this trip may be further than he'd like. Others make more appeal.
Rather went backwards as a two-year-old after promise in a couple of his early runs, but has been gelded since last being seen, and this step up in trip may help. May need this after an absence, however.
Not threatened in five starts but it was a little better at Redcar last time out, plugging on to finish a close sixth and the extra furlong here may help, as might the first time cheekpieces. Not ruled out if taking another step forward.
Some promise in three starts to date, takes a step up in trip for his handicap debut here (which could suit on breeding) and gets quicker ground. No surprise if he left previous form behind now.
Found a bit of form at Beverley last time when upped to 10f, plugging on at one pace to finish seventh, never nearer than at the finish. Conditions here will suit, and a 3lb drop in the weights for that last effort will help.
Had looked to be going backwards but stopped the rot with a much better effort at Lingfield last time out, tried to make all and stuck to the task once headed. Rare runner at the track for the yard, and with blinkers now added, looks a player.
Three runs over an inadequate trip last year and now upped in trip for handicap debut is the usual modus operandi for the yard, and this one is no exception. Shown little so far but you can expect all that to be left behind here.
Does look to be ready for a crack at this trip after some moderate efforts over shorter but in truth he simply hasn't shown enough, and it's not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.
His sixth at Nottingham in April suggested all is not lost with him, but he ran nowhere near that level at Beverley last time and now the headgear is reached for. Plenty to prove at present.
His 2l fourth at Chelmsford (over 7f) stands out like a beacon in a sea of otherwise moderate efforts and hard to be too enthusiastic about his chances today.

Ferrier is likely to be all the rage, as he fits the usual style that Sir Mark Prescott likes to follow with his runners - into handicaps on a low mark, up them in trip and they tend to improve plenty for it. Entries over the next few days also suggest a big run is in order, but his presence might make JOHNI BOXIT a backable price and his claims are crystal-clear after a much better effort at Lingfield last time. Throw in the fact there's not much pace on here and it's not hard to see him making a bold bid to make all. French Resistance, Dubai Classic and at a likely big price Jenny Ren all make a bit of appeal for the places.
