Has resumed in good form, winning at Nottingham (1m2f, good to firm) and going close again last time (beaten ½L) at Redcar after an 8lb rise. From the same mark this time he should be thereabouts again.
Won a Newmarket maiden (1m, soft) 13-months ago. Most of his better performances have been with cut underfoot, but he acted well enough on good to firm last time over 1m and is respected back up in trip.
0-9 so far but placed four times, three of which have been when he has been fresh. Already had two starts this term and first was his better effort, which doesn't augur well from same mark as last time today.
Placed in 4-5 starts but yet to win. Has left William Haggas since her last run in October, costing 30,000gns. Looks to be on a fair mark for this handicap debut and a market check looks prudent.
Won a Wolverhampton handicap (1m4f, AW) a year ago when 5lb lower and went close from just 1lb lower at Carlisle in July (1m1f, good to firm). 20-1 and tailed off on return at Thirsk last month but more interesting back up in trip.
Won 3-4 over 7f-1m in a good spell last spring. Now 4lb lower than the last of those successes. Took a step back in the right direction last time. Not ruled out, but probably more realistic as an each-way player.
Inconsistent. Back to form with a Beverley win (1m2f, good to firm) in April, but well beaten in a Redcar seller last time. Needs to get right back on track to be winning from this mark and that looks no easy task.
Won back-to-back 1m2f handicaps at Bath (firm) and Lingfield last July, the latter from 7lb lower. Not far off that form in subsequent runs last year. Reappears after over seven months off. Each-way claims.
Posted three similar efforts in maidens at around 1m. Yet to race on fast ground, so has to prove he can handle it, but initial mark gives him a squeak here and a big run is possible.
Sole handicap win on turf was over this trip at Beverley last year from this mark. Arrives in form after winning a Ripon seller last month. Forecast ground is fine for him and he enters calculations.

Scottish Summit (2/1), Doctor Cross (9/4), Music Seeker (7/1), Long Socks (7/1), Fisher Green (7/1), Miss Sheridan (12/1), Shamrokh (14/1), Fanfair (16/1), Rita's Man (18/1), Metronomic (20/1), Pretty Passe (50/1), True Romance (50/1), My Distant Murphy (50/1)
Several in here have claims including last-time winner Metronomic and the in-form Scottish Summit. However, LONG SOCKS looks interesting from this mark on his handicap debut and he looks worth chancing, with fellow handicap newcomer Pretty Passe one to note in the market, and neither Music Seeker nor True Romance ruled out.
