Turned a corner since being gelded earlier this year and has now won four of his five starts since that procedure took place. Carries a penalty for his success at Gowran Park (good-to-firm) on Monday and is likely to prove hard to beat once more.

Improved markedly on handicap debut when finishing runner-up at Hamilton (1m1f, good-to-firm) recently. Races off the same mark here and is an interesting runner in this.

Some decent efforts since switched to handicaps but held by Rockfish on running at Gowran Park at the end of last month and likely more needed if he's to reverse that form on this occasion.

11 race maiden but placed a couple of times on the AW since switching to handicaps. Held behind Rockfish at Gowran Park (good-to-firm) last time out and more needed in this.

Well held on all three appearances in maiden company last year. Worth a check in the market on handicap and seasonal debut.

Followed up a good second to Rockfish at Cork (1m2f, good) by winning over 7f at Sligo (yielding) last time out. Races off a 7lb higher mark here and likely to run well once more.

Narrowly beaten by Rockfish over an extended 1m2f at Dundalk in April prior to finishing well beaten behind that rival at Cork (1m2f, good) in a first time tongue tie (retained) the following month. Interesting to see how he fares in this.

Finished fourth twice earlier this year including behind Rockfish at Cork (1m2f, good) last month. Slipped up at Sligo subsequently and of interest if repeating that Cork effort here.

Well held on all three starts in maiden company and it was a similar story on handicap debut at Cork (1m2f, good) last month. More needed if he's to break his maiden in this contest.

Don't Do Itt19

Yet to place in six starts and finished well beaten on seasonal debut at Cork (1m2f, good) last time out. Probably best watched at present.

Forecasts

Rockfish (5/2), Viscount Wilson (9/2), Scorpion Black (9/2), Stormy Tale (7/1), Baba Boom (8/1), Roses Queen (10/1), Chaparral Dream (12/1), Smiling Eliza (16/1), Rips Dream (16/1), Don't Do It (20/1)

Verdict

STORMY TALE can reverse last months Cork running with today's top weight Rockfish to take what looks a highly competitive three-year-old handicap to end the card. The selection has won over shorter since but has proven he appreciates this trip and can take this with Viscount Wilson, narrowly beaten at Hamilton last time out capable of finishing third.
  1. Stormy Tale
  2. Rockfish
  3. Viscount Wilson
