One win from 13 starts but the drop back to winning distance will help and only 1lb higher than that successful mark. Looks a leading contender.
Stable in decent form but needed a couple of runs to get going fully last season and probably best watched after being well held on reappearance.
Didn't do too badly on reappearance and first run since wind surgery. Should only come on for that run but looks on quite a high mark and a query at the distance.
Stable really starting to fire now but both career wins have come on the AW and remains without a success from 16 starts on turf. Drop in distance will help though and can be competitive off this handicap mark.
Back 2lb lower than sole win but below par on reappearance. Stamina query at a distance this far and stable struggling for winners at present.
Dropping back to a competitive mark on turf which remains 3lb lower than AW rating. However yet to suggest he needs a trip this far.
Gets a 2lb rise in the weights for a win in similar conditions to this last time. Lightly raced so there should be more progress to come compared to his rivals and a leading contender with good jockey booking.
Well beaten last twice back on turf but there is a case to be made for him at a price. Stable has had a couple of recent winners and the quicker ground may help. Place possibilities.
Now 4lb higher than win over a shorter distance two starts back but remains well handicapped on old Irish form. Didn't stay two miles last time and this trip could prove ideal. Should be in the mix.
Twice a winner in France but since arriving in UK has only posted a couple of promising runs on the Flat or over hurdles. Shown little in both starts this year and query remains at this distance. Hard to recommend.

Forecasts
Cray (10/3), Tristram (4/1), Zig Zag (5/1), Saved By The Bell (6/1), High Wells (6/1), Katie Gale (7/1), Scrafton (7/1), Chebsey Beau (12/1), Sheriff Garrett (12/1), Tan Arabiq (12/1), Methag (18/1), Foresee (33/1), American History (50/1)
An open looking contest to kick off the card where Cray and in particular Tristram, who backs up following a win, are open to more improvement than a lot of the field. Sheriff Garrett is on a handy mark and the distance will suit while Katie Gale is on a consistent run of form and should be involved again. Slight preference is for ZIG ZAG who stands out as one of the best handicapped runners in the race and this could prove his ideal distance. Saved By The Bell could go well at big odds.
