Lightly-raced Camelot opened his account last time out at Wolverhampton and looks the sort to go ahead and build on that victory.

Lightly-raced maiden with promise shown in four starts so far, including last time out at York on similar ground. Can improve and get competitive.

Mastercraftsman gelding hasn't been with David O'Meara all that long, bit disappointing last time out at York but is likely to leave that effort behind before long.

Well enough held at Newmarket last time out (1m2f, good to firm), leaving suspicion that perhaps the handicapper will remain in charge for now.

Runner-up at Haydock a week ago and gets in here off the same mark. Was clear of the remainder in that contest and no surprise if he solves this mystery.

Cheekpieces were added at Nottingham last time out but failed to spark any significant change in fortune. Hard to be confident in chances again.

Chelmsford City in December and entitled to have needed a run on return to action at Wolverhampton in April, could be straighter now. Cheekpieces back on.

Tough ask last time out at York, may at least find this challenge is more to his liking. Does need to improve however to play a leading role.

Forecasts

Dr Richard Kimble (11/4), Silver Character (10/3), Sexy Beast (7/2), Moon of Baroda (7/1), Oskemen (10/1), Grandscape (12/1), Gembari (16/1), Tommy Shelby (20/1), Apex Predator (33/1)

Verdict

DR RICHARD KIMBLE went agonisingly close at Haydock last week and gets to mount another challenge here before his handicap mark is pushed up. On that form, he looks sure to go close and gets the vote to escape with a win in the finale. Silver Character opened his account at Wolverhampton last time and should be able to improve again while Gembari and Sexy Beast are also shortlisted as lurking improvers.
  1. Dr Richard Kimble
  2. Silver Character
  3. Sexy Beast
