Has dropped down to a competitive mark but needs to prove he needs this far and was well beaten last time.
Eye-catching jockey booking and market support would be interesting. However well beaten in both starts for new stable.
Well beaten in maidens but stepped up considerably with promising performance on handicap debut. Bred to be suited by a more considerable test of stamina so could be hard to beat over this trip with likely progress.
Has shown little in three starts this season but back to a very competitive mark. Market support would be interesting for a stable who won this in 2016.
Finished last season in great form which included a win and a second over this C&D. Off the same mark is weighted to go close but has needed his seasonal reappearance on each occasion in the past.
Disappointed on return to turf and down a further 2lb. May find life tough again.
Goes well here and was second in this race last year off 4lb lower. Winner over the C&D subsequently off just 1lb lower. Feasibly weighted but tends to need his first run back.
Maiden after six starts on Flat and three over hurdles. Needs to find improvement for the step up in distance.
Has gone well here in the past but on long losing run and well beaten on reappearance.
Slipping back to a competitive mark and just 2lb higher than win over this C&D last season. Should be fitter for two runs back and could be more competitive.
Maiden after 15 starts and will be better suited by this trip after running well over the C&D previously. Place possibilities.
Yet to place in seven starts and more required on return to turf.
Forecasts
Sunrize (5/2), Breakwater Bay (6/1), Indian Vision (8/1), Exclusive Waters (8/1), Jan De Heem (8/1), King's Coinage (10/1), Adrakhan (11/1), Silver Gleam (14/1), Hussar Ballad (14/1), Midnight Warrior (14/1), Hugoigo (25/1), Slipper Satin (40/1)
SUNRIZE has been crying out for this step up in distance and after a much improved performance on handicap debut is taken to be open to plenty of improvement for his leading trainer. Jan De Heem and Midnight Warrior are both well suited by this track but tend to need a run while Adrakhan and Breakwater Bay should be more competitive with race fitness now assured.
- Sunrize
- Adrakhan
- Breakwater Bay
