Been very versatile of late with his last two runs in this sphere looking very sound especially his win at Musselburgh (2m, soft). Kept ticking over with a run on the Flat of late; likes to race prominently and won on his only previous visit here.
Loves this place having clocked up four front-running sound jumping C&D wins last season (not as good elsewhere). His recent comeback run at Aintree (pulled-up) under different tactics (held up) may well have put an edge on him for this.
Appears to get on well with today's rider (1P1531) and he comes here in better form than last year when he took this off 4lb lower. Likes this time of year and generally runs well here but has seen the back of Wisty the last twice here.
Took well to fences last year winning two of his four races and given a very considerate reintroduction to racing last time. That trip (2m4f) looked a little far (travelled well) and he may well repay that kindness in the near future.
Consistent enough form around here but has been soundly beaten by Wisty on the last two occasions they have met. Took advantage of a fall in the weights when winning at Wetheby (ideal pace scenario); that situation harder to see happening here.
Not bred for chasing and looked below his normal level over hurdles on his chasing debut at Huntingdon. Still without his usual headgear (hood) here but has just slipped back below his last winning mark; may improve.
Generally quite aggressively ridden but could get involved in a pace war here if those tactics are employed. Has run with credit lately without looking a winner waiting to happen mainly due to his weak finishing tendencies.
Took advantage of some leniency from the handicapper to score off a long absence at Hexham (jumped well); gains extra credit for winning off a contested pace. Only raised 6lb for hat win although the worry would be a possible bounce factor.

Wisty (7/2), Endless Credit (4/1), Oliver's Gold (9/2), Mixboy (9/2), Stynes (8/1), Ifandbutwhynot (8/1), Nicolas Chauvin (10/1), Lough Kent (12/1), Comanche Chieftain (14/1)
There is a real chance that this will be run at a really good clip with a few of these having shown their best form having been ridden from the front. Wisty is certainly one of that group and he burnt off several fields in that style around here last year including a couple of today’s rivals. He obviously likes this place but doesn’t arrive in the same form. Oliver’s Gold goes well for Emma Todd and this is his time of the year while Mixboy is a consistent sort at this level. Endless Credit got back to winning ways last time but he did have quite a hard race and it’s STYNES who makes the most appeal after he was handled with care at Sandown last time; he’s taken well to chasing.
