Showcasing filly, cost £55,000 as a yearling and £100,000 as a Breeze-up purchase. Dam a juvenile winner over this trip. Yard have had two winners from their last seven Flat runners, both juvenile debutantes. Interesting runner here.

Teofilo filly, dam a juvenile winner over this trip and closely related to a Listed sprint winner. Encouraging debut in a nice looking maiden at Cork last week and can't be ruled out if she improves.
Dark Angel filly, cost £120,000 as a yearling. Dam a Listed winner over 5f as a juvenile. Yard's debutantes can be in need of the run and others preferred.

Invincible Spirit filly, cost 1,600,000 gns as a yearling. Sister to a Group 3 winning sprinter and half-sister six winners including Irish 1,000 Guineas winner and a Group 3 winner. Dam a Group 2 winning sprinter. Fascinating debutante.

Scat Daddy filly, cost $500,000 as a yearling. Full-sister to a US winner and half-sister to five more winners including a Grade 3 winner over this trip. Dam a winner over this trip and stayed further. Green on debut but should improve for that.
Dansili filly, dam a juvenile Group 2 winner over 7f and sister to an Irish Oaks winner. May need the run on debut here and will perhaps be suited by further but not ruled out if market support arrives.

Zoffany filly, half-sister to two winners and dam an Irish 1,000 Guineas winner who was a sister to a juvenile Group 1 winner over 7f. Yard's juveniles going well in recent weeks and of interest here. Any rain a potential bonus given her sire.

Canford Cliffs filly, dam a winner and half-sister to a Group 3 winner. May want a greater stamina test than this.

Invincible Spirit filly. Sister to useful 6f winner Promising. Ran well on debut over 5f here despite looking green in the early stages but likely to need plenty of improvement to figure here.

Society Rock filly, cost €20,000 as a foal and €55,000 as a yearling. Dam a juvenile winner over 5f and related to a Group 3 winner over the same trip. Promising second on debut at Dundalk and should improve from that here.

Kodiac filly, cost 55,000 gns as a yearling. Dam as sprint winning juvenile and half-sister to a Group 3 winner. Interesting blend of speed and stamina but yard a little below form of late and others preferred.

Zebedee filly, half-sister to six winners including two Group 3 winners, one as a juvenile. Dam a winner over this trip as a two-year-old. Well bred and market should reveal expectations.
Sepoy filly, cost €40,000 as a yearling. Half-sister to two winning sprinters. Dam a juvenile winner over 7½f and half-sister to a Group 3 winner. Others with more attractive pedigrees and may be best watched this time.

Dandy Man filly, cost €5,500 as a yearling. Dam a winner over 7f and a half-sister to three sprint winners. Bred for this test but potentially in too deep on debut here.

Forecasts

Sparkle'n'joy (4/1), Just Wonderful (9/2), Lethal Promise (11/2), Romme (11/2), Gossamer Wings (6/1), Cuban Surfer (10/1), Fantasy (12/1), Bodhicitta (16/1), Kiss For Luck (16/1), Scarlet Skis (25/1), Laura Bullion (50/1), Espirit D'Escalier (50/1), That's Not Me (66/1), Shandredee (100/1)

Verdict

Jim Bolger has a good record in this race and Cuban Surfer seemingly has a live chance if she can improve for her promising debut at Cork last week. Aidan O'Brien won 2016's renewal of this and his trio are fascinating contenders with debutantes Fantasy and Just Wonderful both capable of going well but preference is for stablemate GOSSAMER WINGS who has the benefit of a run under her belt already. The daughter of Scat Daddy is beautifully bred and showed promise on debut here last time out.
  1. Gossamer Wings
  2. Cuban Surfer
  3. Fantasy
