Progressive chaser in 2015 he's been fairly lightly raced since then with his form having an uneven feel to it. Task in terms of class and distance way beyond him last time out; this looks more suitable for him now (3lb above last winning mark).

His hurdles form was a little disappointing (given a stiff opening mark; 110) and he was quickly switched to fences after wind surgery. Fell early on in his chasing debut last time and this will reveal more (mark still looks a tough one).

Useful enough in his day's with David Pipe but show regressive form for his previous yard. All not lost though as he ran a race with some promise last time out on his debut for this yard; well handicapped on his efforts for the Pipe Yard.

His stable have found some winning form of late and he contributed last time causing a surprise to win at Sedgefield after a long break. That win came off a mark of 103 and he has proved vulnerable off higher marks in the past; tough to follow-up.

The reapplication of some headgear saw him return to his best last time (value for more than the winning margin). Given a 10lb rise for that win he's never been this high before in the weights but should still be able to be competitive.

Made a good start to his chasing career winning on his debut and then looking a little unfortunate not to be able to follow that up. Travelled well last time and but for a late blunder may well have made it 2/2 over fences; leading chance.

Should be sharper for her run at Perth which will have blown the cobwebs away; her first run for this yard. Consistent enough over fences but her only win came when beating two rivals in a hunter chase; dropped 4lb from last start.

Whos De Babyb18

Usually likes to lead over fences but can be a little quirky and failed to really fire last time out at Fakenham. Slipped 1lb below his last winning mark but hard to give a solid chance to on recent outings.

Forecasts

Havana Jack (5/2), Bocasien Desbois (9/2), Border Breaker (5/1), Oscar O'scar (11/2), Quick Brew (15/2), Whos De Baby (9/1), Strong Resemblance (12/1), Present Lodger (20/1), Miss Biscotti (40/1)

Verdict

The best recent form here is held by BOCASIEN DESBOIS who really should have made it 2/2 over fences last time and hails from a yard with a decent record at this track. If he avoids any blunders this time he’ll go close here. Havana Jack has been in fine form for his trainer, turning in a career-best last time although he’s paid for that win with a 10lb rise in the weights. Border Breaker is an intriguing runner for the Sam England yard who are very good at rejuvenating such types and he’s well handicapped on his past form.. Quick Brew surprised last time but has more on his plate here while Present Lodger should be respected on his past form.
  1. Bocasien Desbois
  2. Border Breaker
  3. Havana Jack
