Came back to form from out of the blue last time when finishing third (not the first time one from this yard has done that) at Beverley. Won off this mark as a juvenile but not sure to be in the same form.
Failed to progress as a two-year-old after a promising debut on the AW (poor in his only turf run). Now reappears with cheekpieces on for the first time with something to prove.
Showed some ability as a two-year-old although he never really managed to put everything together. Given a considerate introduction this year (not ideally placed) over this trip; needs to improve off this mark but not totally ignored.
Upped to a mile on his seasonal debut on heavy ground at Wetherby and looked to relish conditions. Appeared well-in under a penalty attempting to follow-up but failed over a shorter trip on quicker ground; more needed here.
Not surprising to see her stepped up a further 2f in trip after her handicap debut over 1m on her first run this year. Raced rather lazily there and could do with some headgear to go along with this increased trip.
Got anything but a smooth passage and conceded first run when returning from a break to make his handicap debut on the AW (1m2f). Still looked far from the finished article but has ability and a leading player in this off a 2lb higher mark.
Fair form as a juvenile at up to 1m and there was something to like about his return\handicap debut over 1m at Pontefract. Not seen to best effect on that occasion (trapped wide) and worth another chance in handicaps.
Blinkers go on for the first time in an attempt to find the improvement that will allow her to break her maiden. Soon behind last time out though and faces some improving types in this.
Well supported on his handicap debut he shaped well and looks the type to make up into a decent three-year-old as his stamina is drawn out. The drop back in trip here doesn't look ideal though and he might need further to be seen at his best.
Better than the bare form of his midfield finish at Yarmouth (1m2f, good/firm) indicates having been handled with care on that occasion. Travelled well until exertions told (needed run) and capable of more off 1lb lower.

A good end to the card with the third and final three-year-old handicap to solve with some intriguing types on display. SEABOROUGH looked as though he was still learning last time out with the race not going his way and he’s the main interest in this for Alan King who does well with his Flat runners. Spice War shaped well last time but he might need further to be at his best and Pentland Hills appeals as a bigger danger looking to repay the kindness he was shown last time. Mom Said and Blooriedotcom are two others worth keeping an eye on for similar contests in the future.
- Seaborough
- Pentland Hills
