Broke through on her ninth start over the C&D on quick ground and reappears under a 6lb penalty. She won with plenty in hand in an improved performance and there's likely a lot more to come.

Had dropped to a really handy mark and got a deserved and overdue success over the C&D last time. Has been competitive off higher marks so 6lb penalty shouldn't be a burden and can be in the mix again.

Has some good form at this track in the past but didn't show that when beaten out of sight over the C&D following a break. 6lb lower than last winning mark but hard to recommend on recent runs.

Change of headgear again but hard to fancy after failing to get into the money in seven starts for current stable. Dropping in weights but best watched at present.

Has only had seven starts and was well fancied when emptying late on the AW following an absence. Possible she needed the run and also the drop in trip could help. Should be competitive.

Irish raider who has course form here off much higher marks in the past. Ran well in testing conditions last time and should be a leading player at this level with two runs behind her.

Struggled in a claimer last time but has generally run well in lowly AW handicaps in a busy year. Could be competitive but more required back on turf.

Has raced here on his last three starts with the track clearly suiting. Dropped 4lb and is getting to an attractive mark but was disappointing over the C&D last time.

17 race maiden who has run some decent races on the AW through the winter including for new stable last start. Unraced on a fast surface and while he could be competitive is proving frustrating.

Well beaten behind Toolatetodelegate over C&D and hasn't shown enough yet to suggest she can be competitive. Blinkers added.

Only had the six starts and made a nice step forwards when a running on fourth behind Toolatetodelegate over the C&D. She should be fitter for the two runs back and gets a nice pull at the weights while being open to more improvement than most.

Forecasts

Toolatetodelegate (7/2), Napping (7/2), Nora Batt (4/1), Amberine (5/1), Gettin' Lucky (15/2), Spitfire Limited (10/1), Nuzha (10/1), Burauq (16/1), Monarch Maid (20/1), Mysterious Glance (33/1), Compton Prince (50/1), Ritas Legacy (50/1), Delahay (50/1)

Verdict

C&D form should prove crucial and NAPPING could be up to carrying a penalty on his quick reappearance after winning with something to spare here recently. Toolatetodelegate is admirably consiistent recently and can also make a bold bid under the same penalty for his C&D success, however on these terms the lightly-raced Amberine would have a chance of turning the tables. Nora Batt adds plenty of interest heading over from Ireland and has equally been suited by this track in the past.
  1. Napping
  2. Amberine
