Showed improved form to get off the mark over 5f last year at Winsor and wasn't seen again after that run. Returned last month on the Fibresand again over 5f but showed very little and more needed here.
Tried over 6f last time at Doncaster and raced too close to an overly strong pace to do himself justice. Better judged on his earlier form with his mark now being reduced although his draw looks problematic here.
Has a good career strike-rate and got back to winning ways last time out on the AW showing some good speed over 5f. Yet to win on turf though so does have something to prove and the draw hasn't been kind here.
Yet to show her best form this year and has work to do with A Sure Welcome on their latest meeting at Wolverhampton. Remains above her last winning mark and more needed to get involved in this.
Makes his handicap debut having had three runs in minor events all over further than this 5f. Showed last time that he could cope with sprint trips but does look to have a stiff task trying the minimum trip for the first time.
Often likes to make the running and has shown some consistent form so far this year without winning. Could have fared better with the draw given her run style and remains 3lb above her last winning mark; could get placed.
Outsider of the small field on her last run but showed some good speed to take that 5f event at Brighton. That was his second win of the year and he should be able to cope with the small rise in the weights; might not be able to use good draw.
On a long losing run but ran with credit on his penultimate start and the visor worn there now returns along with a tongue-tie. Ran respectably last time and although he's very exposed he can win off this mark even if he's not easy to predict.
Forced the pace at Newcastle last time (a tactic doomed to failure at that track) but he is coming back down to near his last winning mark. Well drawn to try such tactics again; both his recent wins have come from the front.
Has run one respectable race for this yard since leaving David O'Meara but that was on debut and the last two efforts have failed to inspire. Cheekpieces go back on but on balance he's one to leave out of calculations.
His last run here over 5f on the AW showed that he can still be competitive (wore a tongue-tie; left off here). Very well weighted on his old form but can be slow away and has to reproduce that last run to have a chance.
Forecasts
Bellevarde (7/2), A Sure Welcome (7/2), Awesome Allan (5/1), Roundabout Magic (6/1), Impart (10/1), Berryessa (10/1), Pearl Acclaim (10/1), Sandfrankskipsgo (16/1), Amaranth (16/1), Hollander (16/1), Entertaining Ben (33/1)
A competitive affair with a mixture of form but once again the draw may come into play here with those with pace and a high draw being favoured. ENTERTAINING BEN tried to force the pace at Newcastle last time and those tactics are very hard to pull off there but he may have more success in that scenario here from stall 10. Awesome Allan and Bellevarde can both be given a chance here although neither are rock solid the low draw not being ideal for the latter of that duo to get the front from. Roundabout Magic deserves a mention after his win at Brighton last time while the multiple AW winner A Sure Welcome will do well to win from stall 1.
- Entertaining Ben
- Bellevarde
- Awesome Allan
