6f winner on the AW back in March she doesn't appear to be as good on turf despite being made favourite on the surface last time. Takes a slight drop in grade here but only ran respectably last time and has to improve on previous turf efforts.

C&D winner although the losing run is starting to stack up now although she would have needed the run last time out on the AW at Chelmsford. Cheekpieces now go on for the first time and she's well drawn for one who likes to race prominently.

Has struck up a good partnership this year claimer Jason Watson (all three wins with him on board); ridden today by another very capable apprentice. Up in grade here after her Brighton win (career-best) but not totally out of this.

Two wins at the start of the year meant she was heading in the right direction; progress has stalled of late though (tried over 7f last time). Last of five on the AW last time she may have gone off the boil a little and now tries turf again.

Winner of her last two following up under a penalty last time over 5f and still looks unexposed as she tries for a hat-trick. Escapes a penalty for that win so is effectively 2lb lower here and the yard had a double on Tuesday.

A four-time winner here (once over C&D) she comes in to this carrying a long losing record and was below form last time. Her mark continues to fall she just needs to make use of it on ground that should suit.

Two-time course winner who bounced back to form last time out with a good second on the AW over 7f. Not the most consistent though but very well drawn for one who likes to lead if she can build on that run.

Forecasts

Mooroverthebridge (9/4), The Lacemaker (11/4), Roys Dream (11/2), Whitecrest (11/2), Dear Bruin (7/1), Good Business (10/1), Violet's Lads (14/1), Mercers (20/1)

Verdict

If the last meeting here on the turf is anything to go by there will be an advantage to grabbing the rail from a high draw and that could really help Dear Bruin who isn’t the most consistent but might get the race run to suit. She does have to cope with the well handicapped MOOROVERTHEBRIDGE though who looks well-in here after her easy win at Salisbury last time which she goes unpenalised for. Mercers is up in grade a little but can’t be left out of this given the form she is in with Roys Dream likely to come on for her recent reappearance.
  1. Mooroverthebridge
  2. Dear Bruin
  3. Mercers
