Winner at Kempton over 6f in January, rated 45, couple of sound efforts since on the AW from this sort of mark and competitive twice on turf at Bath this month. Gets on well with Luke Morris.
Runner-up last time at Wolverhampton over 7f, holding every chance at the furlong marker. Career record of 4-53 tells a tale and likely to have similar aspirations this evening.
C&D winner of a basement-grade contest in February, has run well since and excellent Yarmouth (7f, good to firm) last week suggests he's capable of having a say back here.
Former C&D winner but racking up a fair losing sequence now, out to 17 having failed to beat a rival home at Newcastle last time.
Maiden after nine runs, four of them on turf. Better effort at this track last time however, and can get involved off the same mark if maintaining that progress.
In the money in previous two starts, latest in third over 7f at Brighton 22 days ago. Can be targeting similar performance or more here.
Didn't show much in six starts for Richard Hughes a couple of seasons ago, but ran OK when fair fourth at Brighton latest on second outing for current yard. Has a chance if building on that effort with cheekpieces added.
A 29-race maiden, she's often gone close but remains waiting on that breakthrough. Big effort on bow for this yard at Wolverhampton over 6f early this month but well held (third) back there over 7f last time.
Long-standing maiden, didn't find anything more for addition of first-time blinkers (retained) and hood (discarded) at Nottingham 12 days ago. Gets De Sousa on tonight, and he's got on well with him before.
Six-race maiden, didn't show that much ability for Robert Powell last year, returns from 217 days off for this stable debut and potentially is best watched.
Poet's Voice filly, looked laboured in all six starts last year, cheekpieces are added for return but will have to have wintered very well to play a leading role.
Looks a poor maiden handicapper and hardly gave much encouragement at Salisbury last time although the ground was testing. Needs to settle better to have any chance at all but others have far better claims.
Forecasts
Fairway To Heaven (4/1), Mossy's Lodge (4/1), Mr Potter (5/1), Ettie Hart (6/1), Higgy's Heartbeat (7/1), Dalness Express (10/1), Caledonian Gold (10/1), Lesanti (10/1), Poet's Quest (20/1), Hangman Jury (33/1), Kodiac Pearl (40/1), Spike's Princess (66/1)
Mossy's Lodge won a weak event here earlier in the year and returns in a higher grade but arguably in a race that isn't much stronger. She's got to enter calculcations on the back of a good effort at Yarmouth. Preference though is given to ETTIE HART, who has made the frame in two recent turf starts and should go well for Franny Norton from a good draw. Hangman Jury was better at Brighton on second start for this new yard and is also in the mix with Dalness Express, who tends to excel under Luke Morris.
- Ettie Hart
- Dalness Express
- Mossy's Lodge
