Stimulation colt, cost 32,000 gns as a yearling. Brother to a juvenile sprint winner and dam a French AW winner, a half-sister to Listed placed Private Dancer. Impressive debut winner over 5f here but too keen at Ascot next time. May do better here.

Unbeaten in two starts and never saw a rival when making all at Kempton last time out in fine fashion. Will need to improve up in trip here to land a blow though.
Footstepsinthesand colt, cost €35,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners and dam a middle distance winner. Impressive on debut and shaped like he would appreciate the step up in trip. Ought to run well.

Lethal Force colt, half-brother to juvenile winner over this trip and dam a juvenile winner over a little further and half-sister to a Group 3 winner. Nice debut and improved a little to win at Salisbury next time. Needs more in a deeper race here.

No Nay Never colt, cost 150,000 gns as a yearling. Gave away his chance at the start on second career outing at Ascot last time when 1/7 odds-on favourite but worth forgiving that effort given the way he nearly won that day.

Toronado colt, cost 62,000 gns as a foal and 120,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to seven winners including a Listed winner and dam a juvenile winner and half sister to an Italian Group 1 winner. May need further than this.

English Channel colt, cost $3,500 as a yearling. Half-brother to two winners and dam a full-sister to a Grade 2 winner over middle distances. Likely to struggle in this unless betting market says differently.

Battle Of Marengo colt, cost 55,000 gns as a foal. Dam a half-sister to a Listed winner. Entitled to need this on debut.

Forecasts

Dave Dexter (9/4), Almufti (3/1), The Irish Rover (7/2), Marie's Diamond (11/2), Barbill (8/1), Its The Only Way (14/1), Steeve (25/1), Rex Place (66/1), Arabic Channel (100/1)

Verdict

THE IRISH ROVER may have disappointed at prohibitive odds at Ascot last time but he shaped with promise despite giving away any chance of winning at the start and he's taken to win this race. Dave Dexter should make his presence felt if he settles better while Marie's Diamond will appreciate the step up in trip here.
