Progressive 1m4f handicapper in 2016 landing a hattrick before stopping quickly on final start at York when well beaten. Not seen for 588 days and has clearly had issues and returns off mark 7lb higher than last win at Epsom.
Won three times between 1m-1m2f for Ed Walker and makes debut for new stable. Outclassed on final start last term but this is more his level and looks feasibly handicapped if fit enough to do himself justice after eight-month break.
Failed to stay this trip in 2015 but older and stronger now and was staying on nicely over 2f less last time out. Stable without a winner for a while but horses are running well for places and good apprentice claims valuable 3lb.
Busy on the AW this winter winning over 1m2f at Chelmsford in January but outclassed in Roseberry Handicap at Kempton last time out. Trying a new trip and not without a chance if forgiven last effort.
Galileo colt who won Newcastle AW maiden on debut last term, ran well at Windsor after a long break then went close here in 1m2f handicap in November. Still unexposed and a potential improver so looks one for the shortlist given connections.
Scored over 1m2f at Goodwood in September and began this term in fine style winning over this same trip at Newbury off 7lb higher mark. Up another 5lb and trying a new trip but is still a potential player.
Rattled off a fine four-timer last summer before only narrowly failing to make it five at Sandown last September. Out of sorts in three starts since then and last on both outings this term. Looks in the grip of the handicapper.
Stayed on strongly at Birghton last time to win on first try at 1m2f. Connections step him up again off a 4lb higher mark and would be no surprise to see him give another good account of himself.
Won Kempton mile maiden for Andrew Balding last term and made decent start for new yard when fair second in Epsom novice stakes last month. Steps up nearly half a mile now but is bred to stay so is interesting on handicap debut.

Simoon (9/4), Lunar Jet (7/2), Garrick (4/1), Shanghai Silver (4/1), Rotherwick (6/1), Captain Courageous (10/1), Derek Duval (14/1), Wimpole Hall (16/1), Guns of Leros (40/1), Swilly Sunset (66/1)
A very trappy handicap with plenty of horses trying the trip for the first time. GARRICK and Simoon are the two that particularly catch the eye, the former being a son of Galileo who should improve for the extra distance, while the latter could also take a big step forward with his pedigree suggesting stamina should be his strong suit. Shanghai Silver, Captain Courageous, Lunar Jet and Derek Duval are others who have decent claims.
- Garrick
- Simoon
