Made a winning reappearance (goes well fresh) at Thirsk last time over this trip and carries a 6lb penalty here (still 2lb well-in). Won easily last time out and looked an improved model bit does have to prove he can follow up a win.
Produced a career best when forging clear to win easily at Nottingham last time out in similar quick conditions (first handicap win). The ground appeared to really suit her and she is well-in under her penalty; has to prove she can back that run up.
Slightly unlucky not to get off the mark when running well at Thirsk (1m, good) last time (only narrowly beaten after racing off the pace). Still inexperienced in handicaps and there looks to be more to come in handicap company.
Just one win to his name last year when he showed improvement over this trip at Ripon. Never got involved on his comeback run this year (7f, heavy) although wasn't knocked around and this test should suit better.
AW winner over the winter on Tapeta but has on a couple of occasions looked a little awkward. Returns to turf now after a hurdles run and is back in trip from his last run in this sphere; needs to settle better.
Headgear returns after being left off for his seasonal comeback at Musselburgh over 7f. This trip will suit much better especially with the hood back on although he remains 3lb above his last winning mark; stable rather quiet.
Course winner who was well below form after 7 weeks off last time out on the AW over 2f further. Will find a return to this trip a help and has slipped back to just below his last winning mark.
C&D winner having also won at Ayr last year and he looks versatile with regard to the ground. Ran with credit on his comeback run this year although he does look vulnerable to less exposed sorts off this mark.
Last win came here off a mark of 75 over C&D so on his old form he looks very well handicapped now. Showed that he still retains plenty of ability when shaping well over 1m2f last time at Newcastle (not well placed); interesting off this mark.
Losing run continues to build despite plenty of chances to end the drought but has remained below form of late. Trip was too far last time (1m2f) and this will suit better but carries too many risks to be supported here.
Three runs this year haven't really shown that much and the soft ground looked to put pay to his chance last time. This ground will suit him far better but he still has some work to do with the majority of these.
Two runs for a new stable with all his headgear taken off have looked to be promising efforts (shaped better than the result both times). Did best of those held up last time and looks to be on a good mark; of interest here.
Very well handicapped on his old form and looked to have been coaxed to form by his one of his previous yards when winning off a very advantageous mark at Musselburgh. Just outstayed under a penalty last time and remains one to note.

Jacob Black (5/2), Vive La Difference (3/1), Isstoora (5/1), Whitkirk (8/1), Rockwood (12/1), Cliff Bay (14/1), Chinese Spirit (14/1), Abushamah (20/1), Pickett's Charge (20/1), Archipeligo (25/1), Crazy Tornado (25/1), Akkadian Empire (33/1), Gun Case (40/1), Racemaker (50/1)
This is a hot handicap for the grade and one suspects that there are one of two that are well handicapped and the form should prove strong. Isstoora is well-in under her penalty but has to prove she can repeat her last performance and the same could be said of Whitkirk. Rockwood has slipped in the weights but still looks to have his ability intact and Pickett’s Charge looks as though he can pick up a handicap soon. JACOB BLACK even off this mark of 58 is still well handicapped and may have just found the run coming too soon last time out in his bid to follow-up his easy Musselburgh victory.
- Jacob Black
- Pickett's Charge
- Rockwood
