Lightly-raced colt, formerly trained by Roger Varian in Britain. Unable to make serious impact in three AW runs (latest for this yard) and switches to turf with plenty to work on.
Redoute's Choice gelding out of a Sadler's Wells mare related to Aussie Group 1 winner Lankan Rupee. Finished seventh of 10 in 7f heavy-ground maiden at Cork on debut this month.
50,000 gns gelded son of Footstepsinthesand out of a dam who won over 1m2f, has shown some promise in AW maidens at Dundalk already in two runs.
Scat Daddy gelding, cost $380,000 as a yearling, is a half-brother to multiple winners at up to 1m and interesting on debut for Fozzy Stack.
Deep Impact colt out of 6f two-year old Group 3 winner, has run well in three maidens last season and this, finished well from a poor draw over this C&D (heavy) last month in first-time blinkers (retained). Should make presence felt.
Shamardal colt whose dam was 7f/1m winner and half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m2½f Casual Conquest. Entitled to respect on debut in these colours.
Erewhon colt, brother to two winners at 6f-1m3f and half-brother to several more. Yard's runners can come on for the run.
Mastercraftsman colt beat all bar odd-on winner in 1m Gowran Park maiden (heavy) in October, winner not disgraced in Group 3 next time. Yard going nicely and entitled to have his say.
Lightly-raced Swiss Spirit gelding, well held in 6f soft-ground maiden at Naas 231-days ago. Back up in trip, may well improve.
170,000 gns foal but dropped significantly in price when sold as a yearling. Finished second in eight-runner AW maiden over 7f at Dundalk this month. Cheekpieces added now and should improve.
Vocalised colt, unable to get a significant blow in on debut over 5f (heavy) at Naas last month, immediately goes up in trip.
Forecasts
Conclusion (5/2), Tremendous Leap (4/1), Razoul (9/2), Swiss Cottage (7/1), Bucky Larson (8/1), California Jumbo (8/1), Crimson Mystery (10/1), Alpine Peak (33/1), Vocal Relation (33/1), Novel Character (50/1), Ashqar (100/1)
Conclusion went well over C&D recently from a poor draw and should hold every chance here but perhaps RAZOUL can go one better than his debut at Gowran Park last backend. He chased home a Ballydoyle newcomer there that went well enough in a Group 3 next time and the Halford team are in good order right now. Tremendous Leap has scope to improve on his Dundalk debut with new headgear while Crimson Mystery is a notable newcomer.
