Successful in a Nursery Handicap from a mark of 89 at Goodwood in September (6f, soft) but has appeared vulnerable in stronger races since. Not out of this back in a handicap.
Ran well on debut last year and improved to win twice and place twice in four subsequent runs last year. Fair effort on reappearance last month but has a wide draw to overcome.
Good effort last month on reappearance over 7f at Newbury, drop in distance isn't a big worry here and entitled to be fitter for that run.
Going well at the finish when second over 5f (soft) at Thirsk last time out, can get involved over this extra furlong with a repeat of that improved effort.
C&D winner last season, final effort at York probably best forgotten. Wears first-time cheekpieces on return and fair chance of bouncing back to form, though draw here isn't ideal.
Breakthrough win over this trip at Wolverhampton (AW) last month before running acceptable race dropped to 5f since on turf at Sandown. Weighted to have fair chance back on turf.
Winner of a Thirsk novice event over this trip in August last year, then outclassed in Group 2 company at Newbury. Handicap debut here after layoff, one to pay attention to in betting.
Won a Lingfield AW claimer in March and gone well in two runs for new connections. Up in grade now and potentially vulnerable.
Winner over this trip on soft ground at Redcar last season, fair bit on to repeat the dose from this rating it seems.
Won his final two starts for Mick Channon at Windsor and Bath, goes on any ground but this is a significant step up in class on bow for new trainer.
Twice shaped well at this course last year over 6f/7f on testing ground in novice events, should be set to roll after reappearance on AW at Newcastle and not overlooked on handicap debut with yard going well.
Well beaten at Ripon (5f, soft) on first start for this trainer, goes up in trip now but turf form doesn't suggest he'll be winning this.

No I'm Easy (7/2), Last Page (4/1), Mr Top Hat (6/1), Gabrial The Saint (13/2), Requinto Dawn (13/2), Neola (11/1), Bungee Jump (11/1), Encrypted (12/1), Montague (12/1), Captain Jameson (16/1), Excellent Times (16/1), Ginbar (16/1), Marietta Robusti (33/1), Pilkington (66/1)
Montague should hold fairly decent claims with a repeat of his effort at Musselburgh last time, but his draw is anything but ideal now and that swings the vote in favour of REQUINTO DAWN, who was flying at the finish over 5f recently at Thirsk and should make a bold bid now over the extra furlong. Handicap debutants Gabrial The Saint and No I'm Easy join Mr Top Hat on the shortlist for places.
- Requinto Dawn
- Mr Top Hat
- Montague
