Good handicap hurdler who hasn't been seen on the Flat since towards the end of the 2016 season. Not the best form on the level but has improved over hurdles and could do better now back on the Flat.

Not seen on the Flat since September 2016, but was in good form back then, and has certainly been going well over hurdles having placed in Grade 1 company last time out. Should go close again.

Appeared not to stay 2m at Kempton last time on his first attempt at that distance, so step back in trip is a positive off the same career-high mark.

Lightly-raced and has run well on every start since joining this yard. This is tougher than the handicap he ran in last time but looks progressive.

Hat-trick seeker who is up 6lb for winning at Hamilton last time. That's a large enough increase given it wasn't the biggest of winning margins, and this looks tougher.

Form over hurdles this winter has been a little bit in and out, and needs to step up on most recent Flat turf efforts to take advantage of this mark.

In good form on the AW recently and less exposed than most of these. Ran poorly on his only previous start on turf but holds other excuses for that and should run well here from a good draw.

A winner at Windsor last time out over considerably shorter than this, but stays this far and up 4lb he's not ruled out from improving again to get competitive.

Accomplished staying handicapper, including in better races than this, but looks high enough in the weights. The fact this top jockey keeps the ride is a positive, though.

Not the best overall record and significant improvement needed on his seasonal debut here, when beaten 13L over further than this at this course.

Forecasts

Bedrock (7/4), October Storm (4/1), Uber Cool (6/1), Stanley (8/1), Davy's Dilemma (10/1), Warm Oasis (12/1), Dino Velvet (12/1), Nordic Combined (16/1), Master Of Irony (25/1), Buonarroti (40/1)

Verdict

Having placed in a Grade 1 hurdle and with a good record on the Flat, BEDROCK could be the one to side with here. He should handle the ground, shouldn't mind the trip and could have more to offer on the level. Several are in with chances though, and another talented hurdler in Dino Velvet could be the main danger, ahead of the progressive Stanley.
