Well beaten on first three starts before an improved effort over 10f at Lingfield (AW) last time. Moves into handicap company off a low mark and steps up markedly in trip. Market move should be noted with cheekpieces on for the first time.
Better effort on handicap debut at Kempton (1m3f, AW) last time. This further step up in trip is likely to suit and the visor goes on for the first time. Player if continuing his progress.
Hasn't looked particularly well handicapped so far and struggled off his revised mark at Nottingham (1m2f, good to soft) on return to action. Dropped 4lb for that effort, cheekpieces on for the first time but needs to do much better to be involved.
Well beaten on his return at Nottingham (1m2f, good to soft) two weeks ago. Certainly didn't give any impression on that occasion that a step up in trip will suit. Cheekpieces added but has stamina to prove.
Well beaten and big prices on all three starts at the back end of 2017. Had a four month break and moves into handicaps off a lowly mark so any market move should be duly noted but will need to improve.
Better effort on handicap debut at Salisbury (1m2f, heavy) just four days ago. Stayed on well there so chance this further step up in trip will suit. Races off same mark and rider claims a handy 5lbs. Had a tough race there though.
Previously with John Gosden as a juvenile. Improved for a switch to handicap company when only beaten 2¾L over C&D last time. Needs to improve on that again to win today.
Not shown a great deal in three qualifying runs but has lots of stamina in the pedigree so this marked step up in trip could bring about some improvement on handicap debut. Rider claims a handy 5lbs and any market move would be interesting.
Well beaten all three starts to date. Steps up in trip for handicap debut but needs to improve to take a hand.
Bits of promise in three runs so far. Moves into handicaps off a very tempting mark and has plenty of stamina in the pedigree for this step up in trip. Top rider booked and interesting.
Beaten a long way in his three qualifying runs. Blinkers didn't bring about any improvement last time but are retained. Needs step up in trip and move to handicaps to spark some life but hard to fancy until showing a bit more.
Forecasts
Clan Mcgregor (11/4), Storm Again (5/1), Duggary (6/1), Kingfast (7/1), Pollyissimo (8/1), Wallflower (10/1), Diablery (10/1), Purple Jazz (14/1), Zarrar (16/1), Epsom Bounty (20/1), Argent Bleu (33/1)
Lots in with chances in a tough finale. Clan McGregor ran well in bad ground at Salisbury four days ago and this step up in trip looks a good move. This could well go to one fo the handicap debutants though. Pollyissimo is interesting up in trip and with cheekpieces on. Purple Jazz and Epsom bounty both have the scope to improve and should be monitored for market moves. Slight preference though is for WALLFLOWER who has shaped like this trip will be much more to her liking and she gets the services of Silvestre De Sousa for handicap bow.
- Wallflower
- Purple Jazz
- Epsom Bounty
