Off the track for six months having last been seen finishing well down the field at York (2m½f, good). Yard have shown their ability to get one ready off a break and positive jockey booking back down in grade.
Showed a fair level of ability over hurdles this winter. He is not obviously well handicapped on his flat efforts but has race fitness on side though so easy to make a case for him to go well.
Hasn't won since 2016 but not had that much racing in that time. Should be fit from a couple of runs on the AW and is slipping to a handy mark but hard to fancy is current mood.
Any of the five runners could easily take this. Zenafire will be dangerous is ready after a break and Thistimenextyear is race fit from hurdling and could go close but preference is for SLUNOVRAT. His yard can get on ready off a break and he is the classiest flat performer of these and Jim Crowley is a positive booking.
