Hinted at having some ability on her debut on quick ground over 7f at the end of last year (quite well backed). Ran fairly green though and may do better after a break making her AW debut; yard going well at the moment.
Caught the eye on her second start (stable second string) and looking capable of a fair bit better when finishing in midfield at Newmarket (7f, good). Looked to have running left in her on that occasion and looks one to note on AW debut.
Lacked some sharpness and possibly fitness on her debut/sole run for Richard Fahey last year (6f, good) and not knocked about. Didn't look as though she had come on this year though when making her debut for a new yard on testing ground at Bath.
Green on her debut last year (7f) as a juvenile she showed a little more on his seasonal reappearance on the AW again over 7f. Looks to need the emphasis more on stamina and handicaps will show her in a better light.
Stable have a poor record with debutantes and this Medicean filly who is out of a dam who stayed 1m2f may well need this run. Looks one of the lesser lights in this.
Started at a big price on her debut last year (7f, good) at Salisbury and finished well held in midfield. Would need to have shown plenty of improvement to take a hand in this.
The chances are that she's shown more than we have seen so far on the course having twice disappointed as favourite on the AW at up to a mile. Failed to settle fully last time and may do better now but has to still prove herself.
Trainer has a respectable record with his debut runners and the booking of the champion jockey should be noted for this daughter of Animal Kingdom. Her dam was a US 1m winner and she needs noting in the market.
One of three runners in the race for the yard this first foal of a Lemon Drop Kid dam looks to be the outsider of that trio making her debut here. The dam is related to some useful winners so she's expected to come on for this run.
Ran her best race of her three so far over C&D last time having no chance with a very short-priced favourite but still running on well at the death to finish second. She looks to be learning from race-to-race and is open to further progress here.
Failed to improve for her debut over C&D last time (well behind Rasima) and looks one for handicaps with just this run needed for a mark. Unlikely to trouble the principals on the evidence of her two runs so far.
Failed to show much promise on her debut at Newbury (7f, good to soft) when well held after making a belated effort 2f out. Now switched to the AW she needs to show more to make an impact here.
Forecasts
Rasima (1/1), Perfection (7/2), Dance On The Day (7/1), Gilded Heaven (9/1), Pride's Gold (16/1), Proceed (20/1), Yusra (25/1), Love To Breeze (25/1), Superego (40/1), Median (40/1), Javelin (100/1), Nyala (100/1)
Quite an intriguing contest with Roger Varian running three in the race and holding quite a strong hand. Rasima looks to be his major player given her defeat by a heavily odds-on shot over C&D last time but she looks something of a slow burner and his GILDED HEAVEN is given a chance what should be an each-way price. She only finished in midfield on her debut but really caught the eye and looks to have plenty of improvement in her. Perfection has twice been a beaten favourite and may be starting to try the patience of backers. Newcomer Pride’s Gold from a yard that place their horses well and Dance On The Day are two others worth noting.
- Gilded Heaven
- Rasima
- Pride's Gold
