Reported to have finished slightly lame when beaten favourite last time. Presumably the problem was only minor but as an 11-race maiden there may be better options.

Has proven herself well-suited to the tapeta at Newcastle. Up in the weights on slower ground so something to prove.

Campaigned in sprints last season and showed some ability. Interesting to see him start 2018 over a trip more in line with the sire's influence and the yard have hit form. One to note in the market.

Went close at Redcar under a tactically astute ride and was over the top when well beaten on his next start. Will be better for a recent spin at Newcastle and could well open his account this time.

Has form on soft surfaces in better company off higher marks. Will be better for his comeback run and he has each-way claims.

Glimpses of ability and every chance he can find a handicap now stepping up in trip. May need the run on this occasion.

15-race maiden who produced some good efforts at Newcastle during the winter. Last two runs have been dreadful and he is best avoided until showing more.

Moderate filly who has been absent since a poor effort last time. Unproven on ground as soft as forecast and there are too many questions for her to answer.

Makes his handicap debut on first run for new yard. Steps up considerably in trip and cheekpieces now replace blinkers.

Cheek-pieces made little improvement to his form when soundly beaten in a weak Wolverhampton seller latest (7f), so therefore he makes little appeal as he seeks to avoid becoming a ten race maiden.

Not beaten far from out of the handicap on Wednesday's return. That was a career best and he looks interesting here under a good claimer.

Forecasts

Foxrush Take Time (4/1), Highland Bobby (5/1), Ventura Crest (5/1), Foxy Lady (11/2), Plansina (8/1), Blue Havana (10/1), Makofitwhatyouwill (11/1), Rock On Bertie (14/1), Eva Docc (14/1), Rockesbury (18/1), Marconi (25/1), Westfield Wonder (40/1)

Verdict

Makeofitwhatyouwill was not disgraced in face of a stiff task on Wednesday and could go well here with a good 3lb claimer on board. Foxrush Take Time has form on soft surfaces off higher marks than this and will be better for his comeback run. VENTURA CREST produced his best as a juvenile when positively ridden on an easy surface. He will strip fitter for a recent run and forcing tactics will ask serious questions of some moderate rivals.
  1. Ventura Crest
  2. Foxrush Take Time
  3. Makofitwhatyouwill
