Promising second on both starts as a juvenile, latterly over C&D. One for the short list on his first outing as a three-year-old.

Equiano half-brother to four winners including two who scored on the AW. Ran respectably when fourth of eight over 7f at Kempton on debut earlier this month and should improve.

Kodiac colt who cost £75,000 as a two-year-old and is from the family of Group race winner Aspen Darling. Nearest at finish when fourth of six on debut over 6f at Wolverhampton and is likely to be sharper this time.

Kyllachy gelding who fetched 34,000 gns as a two-year-old and whose dam won from 6f to 1m2f. Ran with plenty of promise when second on debut over this trip at Kempton and must go well if coming on for the run.

Well held in novice events at Wolverhampton and this venue. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this race and that looks his most likely route.

Plenty of promise before being highly tried on final start as a juvenile. Gelded during the winter, he returns to action with a good chance of shedding his maiden tag in this company.

Good start to his career when second at Nottingham, but failed to back that up at Beverley next time. Makes his seasonal reappearance and is probably best watched.

7/1
Son of Kodiac who fetched £150,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to useful 1m winner Rusumaat. Gelded since making a low-key debut at Lingfield last May and should do better in a first-time hood.

Foxy Locks

50/1
Foxwedge filly whose dam was a 5f AW winner. Bred to be quite speedy, but is likely to need this first racecourse appearance.

Kheleyf filly who is a half-sister to 7f winner Hitchcock. Not disgraced when third of five on debut at Yarmouth in August and promises to do better as a three-year-old.

Fakhoor (2/1), Rebel Streak (3/1), Miracle Works (3/1), Sir Commander (7/2), Tadbir (7/1), How Far (7/1), Walk On Walter (10/1), Party Dancer (25/1), Lalania (33/1), He's One Of R Own (33/1), Roman River (50/1), Foxy Locks (50/1), Pablow (80/1)

Verdict

A competitive maiden in which some strong stables are represented. Fakhoor and Rebel Streak showed talent as juveniles and look sure to win races, but this may go to SIR COMMANDER, a quite expensive purchase who shaped with lots of promise on debut at Kempton. Miracle Works is another to consider after a pleasing debut run, while Walk On Walter is not out of it and Tadbir can do much better than he showed on his racecourse bow.
  1. Sir Commander
  2. Rebel Streak
  3. Fakhoor
