Front runner who has been placed in his last four starts on the AW. Got an uncontested lead on handicap debut but still ran a solid third. Needs to transfer that ability onto turf but a leading player down in grade.

Also got a soft lead on handicap debut when finding one too good. That was a significant step up on his maiden form and still open to improvement for in form stable.

Improved with every run as a two-year-old and shaped as though this extra step up in distance would only bring further progress. Interesting now going handicapping and should be in the mix with race likely to be run to suit.

Showed promise in four starts last season but ran poorly in visor (removed) on his return to action on the AW in February. Extra distance offers some hope but perhaps best watched at present.

Caught the eye travelling strongly on handicap debut before not seeing it out over further. Drop in trip looks the obvious move on turf debut and an each-way hope.

Queen Adelaide199

Daughter of Helmet who didn't build on promise of first two runs on her AW debut before outclassed in valuable sales race. Makes her handicap debut on seasonal reappearance but more required.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: S Donohoe| T: D R Lanigan| OR:  66

Has improved with each start and now makes handicap debut after being placed in a warm novice event. Form looks strong and on a fair mark for his first run on the turf.

Little encouragement at long odds when slowly away in all three starts and now switches to handicaps. Stable yet to fire and hard to make a case for.

Nathaniel colt who cost 55,000 gns as a yearling but showed little in three starts as a two-year-old. Likely to improve with age for powerful stable particularly over this longer trip.

Gelded and steps up significantly in trip on handicap debut. Would need to vastly improve after failing to feature in three starts last season.

Feasibly weighted but slowly away on her last two runs and has got into the race too late to get competitive. Looks a difficult ride and still to find her best distance.

Verdict

Dawn Dancer and Finisher should ensure this is a true test of stamina and both should be competitive. Baasha is very interesting on the progress he showed last season while the form around ATTICUS BOY reads well and he could prove well handicapped switching from the AW. Cristal Spirit should be noted in the betting and could easily leave his form behind over this longer distance.
