Penalised for his C&D maiden success in early November (soft), when staying on strongly to down Black Art by 2¼L. Absent since, but that was a pleasing introduction to hurdles, so every chance if fit and well.

125-rated, but possibly slightly flattered by that mark. That said, solid enough on the whole over hurdles, and probably should strip fitter for last week's Sedgefield second to Bulkov (2m1f heavy).

Frozen Power gelding who tackles hurdles for the first time after a slightly improved second bumper start on the Tapeta at Newcastle in February.

Not beaten far on hurdles debut here last month (2m4f heavy), and that form has worked out well enough with the runner up Behindthelines winning at Newcastle. Not so good latest (keen), and drops back in trip today.

Handles cut, and finished runner up to Calix Delafayette in an Ayr bumper 13 months back. Not progressed, and was tailed off on hurdles debut (in a strong race) at Catterick; 2m3f+, when unseating his rider at the second last.

Pulled up on both starts over hurdles, including on his return to action at Newcastle the weekend before last (2m4f+ heavy). Not considered.

Oscar gelding who joined this trainer from Irish point-to-points (ex Colin Bowe). Didn't offer too much to work with for the future when well beaten on hurdles debut at Hereford recently (2m heavy).

Regularly let down by his jumping in point-to-points, but hasn't been with this trainer for all that long, making his hurdles debut with a modest effort at Wetherby last month (3m soft). Drop in trip looks a shrewd move.

12/1
Unraced sixth foal by Saddex out of Sagesse Moriviere. Half-brother to the useful 2m hurdle winner Cyrus Moriviere, so looks to be a horse to note for locally based owners who have enjoyed plenty of previous Hexham success.

Forecasts

Whoshotwho (11/10), Crixus's Escape (2/1), Hangard (9/2), Espoir Moriviere (12/1), Rowdy Robin (33/1), Memorys (50/1), Frozen Out (50/1), Jiminy Cricket (50/1), Indian Harbour (66/1)

Verdict

WHOSHOTWHO probably isn't a horse worthy of a rating of 125, but he's shown enough over obstacles in order to be competitive here, and he should benefit from his recent Sedgefield start; his first run for over six months. Crixus's Escape has C&D winning form, but is penalised on his return to the track, whilst Hangard might appreciate a drop back to 2m. The remainder make little appeal, but the unraced Espoir Moriviere is possibly a horse to note in the market.
