Frankel filly who looked a good prospect when winning on her juvenile debut at Newmarket. Stepped up in class in the Cheveley Park Stakes, she could finish only eighth of 11 to Clemmie, but she can do better and looks the one to beat.

Plenty of promise without winning as a juvenile and hit the bar on reappearance at Wolverhampton. Extra needed to take this, but more improvement is on the cards.
Son of Pivotal who fetched 120,00 gns as a foal and is a brother to Listed winner Princess Loulou, who raced from 1m to 1m2f. Lovely pedigree and certainly worth a check in the betting on debut.

8/1
Exceed and Excel colt who cost 22,000 gns as a foal and 55,000 gns as a yearling. Shaped well behind an easy winner on debut at Yarmouth in August and can do better as a three-year-old.

Stepped up on last year's Chelmsford debut when a close fourth of 12 at Kempton last month. Likely to take another step forward and warrants respect.

Sent off at big prices when well held on both starts last year. Should do better in time, but is likely to benefit from this reappearance outing.
Gelded son of Exceed and Excel who cost 75,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to seven winners. Likely to need the experience on debut, but positive jockey booking is encouraging.

Two fairly quiet runs on the AW as a juvenile, Reappears after wind surgery and should do better once she competes in handicaps.

Forecasts

Betty F (13/8), Ateem (4/1), Salute The Soldier (6/1), Jurz (8/1), Quality Seeker (12/1), Mesquite (16/1), The Establishment (18/1), Plentyinthetanksir (33/1), Forbidden Planet (66/1), The Emperor Within (100/1)

Verdict

Forbidden Planet is an interesting newcomer and the likes of Salute The Soldier, Ateem, Jurz and Quality Seeker can win races in due course, but all of them will have to go some if BETTY F puts her best foot forward. After winning on debut, she was deemed good enough to run in Group 1 company so it will be surprising if she does not make a bold bid at this much lower level.
  1. Betty F
  2. Quality Seeker
  3. Salute The Soldier
