2-4 here and one of the few in this to boast a respectable record (2-9) in this grade. Would have finished closer but for a mishap at the start last time and weighted to give a good account.
Failed to progress last term for David Simcock and joined current yard having refused to race on penultimate start. Only sixth on yard debut and questions remain as to what trip she requires.
Has gone 21 races since last win in 2016, but four of her five career successes have come at a mile and she is 0-9 in this class.
A change of tactics paid off last time and she has now won two of her last three under this rider. A 6lb rise in the weights makes a repeat tougher to achieve.
1-26 record and has previously been found wanting in this grade. Stable are going through a quiet period and others seem more likely.
All three wins have come over C&D. Not at her best lately but she is falling down the weights. Remains above her last winning mark and may need to drop another couple of pounds.
Lightly-raced filly who has produced some good efforts in defeat when conditions have been suitably fast. Handicap mark may be up with events and concedes a fitness advantage.
Maiden filly has dropped to a career low mark. Capable of going close with her yard in fine form if handling this surface.
Has dropped well below her last winning mark. Failed to get home over C&D last month when setting some steady fractions and has plenty to prove.
Faced some difficult tasks for David Simcock after just getting home in a Wolverhampton maiden a year ago. Looks more reasonably treated now and not disgraced from a poor draw last time. May improve for the step up to 7f.

Sonnet Rose (2/1), Masquerade Bling (9/2), Tallulah's Quest (9/2), Kodicat (5/1), Curious Fox (7/1), Eponina (8/1), Dragon Dream (14/1), Dear Bruin (16/1), Stosur (16/1), Magic Approach (25/1), Shankara (50/1)
Curious Fox is more reliable than most of these in this grade and has been given a chance off a lower mark than when last successful. Sonnet Rose has a tougher task under a penalty, but Eponina has dropped to a career low mark and could be dangerous if handling the surface. MAGIC APPROACH landed a minor Wolverhampton maiden a year ago for David Simcock. She is more attractively weighted nowadays and her latest run indicated she was ready for this longer trip.
- Magic Approach
- Eponina
- Curious Fox
