Scored under this rider at Goodwood before finding soft ground a problem next time. Has gone well on AW in the past but meets fitter rivals off a career high mark.
Has been running consistently well on this surface and a neck second to the in-form Bernie's Boy was an excellent effort. Had little chance at the weights in a claimer last week and has to be considered.
Saddle slipped last time and that has earned him another drop in the weights. Has become frustrating to follow and visor now applied by trainer who is 0-72 on AW tracks in 2018.
Still to recover last summer's form in two AW outings and now dropped in trip. Would be dangerous from this mark if back to his best and a market check is advisable.
Has a 5-10 record on AW tracks including a C&D success. Has proved she can go well when fresh and has been competitive from similar marks so one to consider.
Yet to win in 13 AW attempts but has gone close on his last three including here on Saturday evening over 5f. Champion jockey keeps the ride and the extra furlong is in his favour.
Last win came two years ago but he has been knocking at the door lately and he usually goes well here. Style of racing means he requires luck in running and draw makes things more awkward.
Gained his first success in over three years when causing an upset at Chelmsford. Shorter trip and penalty set him a difficult task last week, but has to be of interest here under rider who is 2-2 for yard this year.
Sole win came over this trip in 2016 when making hard work of justifying odds of 2/9. Has been running over further and best recent effort came in lower grade. Has a tendency to hang and others preferred.
A 3-40 career record shows how hard it is for this patiently ridden mare to find the right races and the requisite luck in running. C&D winner in newly applied cheekpieces last October and aids refitted for the first time since.

Forecasts
Awesome Allan (5/2), Island Cloud (5/1), A Sure Welcome (5/1), Strategic Heights (7/1), It Must Be Faith (9/1), Impart (10/1), Berlios (10/1), Major Crispies (11/1), Indian Affair (14/1), Thorntoun Lady (16/1), Tigerwolf (16/1), Cobalty Isle (25/1)
Most of these are capable of taking this and with many needing to be delivered late, then luck is going to play a big part. Strategic Heights will ensure a good pace but he is vulnerable off today's mark. AWESOME ALLAN finished well here over 5f on Saturday and is drawn to get a nice tow from Island Cloud who likes to be up with the pace. It Must Be Faith is back to his best trip for an in form yard who have used this rider well, whilst Berlios and Thorntoun Lady are two strong finishers who will find the race run to suit. Amazingly David O'Meara is still awaiting his fist AW winner of the year. Impart would be dangerous if the visor works and Major Crispies should give another good account.
- Awesome Allan
