This one was a rare bumper runner for this predominantly Flat yard on his debut and now switched to the Flat having sampled the surface on that outing. He offered little though and it's hard to see him making much impact here.

Well supported when running as though he needed the run on his bumper debut at Newcastle he was well held when switched to the Flat after a break. Now makes his Fibresand debut dropping in trip and this test looks too sharp.

Ran fairly well for her former stable and her current one before trying her luck in Meydan on the dirt over the winter unsuccessfully albeit in better company. Didn't need to be at her best when winning over 7f last time by 6L beating a weak field.

Made a useful start over C&D (well backed) but failed to build on that run when beaten at odds-on over a furlong shorter here last time. Appeared ill-at-ease over the shorter trip and will be much more at home returned to a mile; bounces back here.

The one with the most experience here having not been seen anywhere else bar here in his career. Has run some sound enough races on Fibresand despite underperforming last time and although this mile suits he faces a stiff enough task here.

The one newcomer in the field she's a half-sister to a winner at up to 1m4f with her dam also having won as a juvenile at 7f. Trainer has a decent record here (25% strike-rate last five years) and the market will guide as to her chance.

Result Amended

Line House - Original Position 3rd. Amended Position 4th.
Love Rat - Original Position 4th. Amended Position 3rd.

Forecasts

Silchester (1/2), Line House (7/2), Love Rat (8/1), Litigation (14/1), Grey Charlie (100/1), Kindler (100/1)

Verdict

A fairly weak event with SILCHESTER looking to have every chance of regaining his winning form after his blip last time and he’s given the nod over Line House especially as she has to give him weight. The battle for minor honours looks to rest between the newcomer Litigation and the proven on the surface Love Rat although he’ll eventually be seen to better effect in handicaps.
  1. Silchester
  2. Line House
  3. Love Rat
