Won two chases in 2015 and is better than indifferent subsequent form figures suggest. Was in the process of running a big race until falling at Musselburgh recently on his his first start after wind surgery, so of obvious interest here.
Sole success came over 2m3f at Exeter (good) three years ago but ran well to finish runner-up over the same trip at Ascot (soft)in January. Couldn't back that level of performance up at Huntingdon last time so questions to answer.
Winner of four of his 14 hurdle races, he was placed for the third time from five chase starts when a 3L second of four behind Silverhow at Wincanton (2m4f, heavy) last month. Remains handily-treated, hard to rule out.
Experienced campaigner who gained the last of his three chase wins over 3m at Market Rasen (soft) in November 2015 but hasn't been sighted for two years. Big ask to defy that absence in this company.
Easy winner at Chepstow last March on handicap bow over just shy of 3m (soft). Was raised 15lb for that and has gone completely off the boil since but mark has plummeted as a result. Interesting to see how he goes after wind surgery.
Twice a winner at Ludlow in late 2014 but only fleeting signs of promise amid an interrupted career since. Signs of temperament in most recent starts, pulling up after racing keenly at Musselburgh last time. Hard to fancy.
Inconsistent sort who has struggled to make an impact in staying handicaps this season, going down by 30L last time out at Ludlow (3m1f, good to soft). Mark is falling all the time, however.
Put some poor form behind him when scoring for this yard at Ffos Las (2m3½f, good) last April, but has struggled since and was pulled up in testing conditions at Fontwell last time. Hard to fancy on that evidence.
A five time hurdles winner from 35 starts but hasn't looked a chasing natural in four attempts. For all that, he had the race at his mercy until unseating two out at Plumpton last time, albeit in a weak race. Jumping taken on trust.
2-7 over hurdles and shaped with promise on chasing bow at Huntingdon in October, though has failed miserably to build on that in three outings since turn of the year. Hard to enthuse over right now.

Following recent wind surgery, ROYALE DJANGO looked a rejuvenated horse at Musselburgh last time out when running a race full of promise until departing at the second last. He looks very handily-treated off his present mark and, having scored on soft ground in his younger days, he makes appeal here despite top-weight. Invicta Lake was poised to win a weak affair at Plumpton last time but his jumping remains a concern and Alee Bleue looks a more reliable proposition, with Swincombe Scorchio also of some interest after wind surgery.
