Solid efforts in four starts to date most recently when a ¾L second at Wolverhampton (7f novice event) earlier this month. Hood introduced as she goes handicapping, no surprise to see her make presence felt.
Bit of a mixed bag so far in maidens and novice events but signs of improvement when finishing a ½L third over 7f at Chelmsford last month. More needed as she goes handicapping.
Chester maiden winner who has placed off higher marks in handicaps, including over 1m at Kempton last month. Didn't appear to act on the fibresand last time but solid claims if overlooking that with cheekpieces introduced.
Pivotal filly who has improved with each run in novice events, culminating in a comfortable win over 7f at Wolverhampton last month. Clearly suited by the step up in trip that day and opening handicap mark looks more than workable.
Has never quite kicked on from a narrow defeat at Brighton on her debut and her opening handicap effort over 7f at Epsom saw her defeated 6L. Fitness to prove as she makes an AW debut.
Has failed to hit the frame in five starts, but has shown signs of ability, including last time out over 6f here when a 4L fourth of 10. Eased 3lb since then and not without hope back in handicap company over 7f.
Only win from 12 starts came in a 7f nursery for Richard Hannon at Wolverhampton in November but is now rated 8lb higher and ran poorly in a seller last time. Questions to answer for new yard.
Twice a winner as a juvenile (once in a handicap) when she was with Richard Fahey but she failed to excel in a four-race spell for Tim Vaughan earlier this year and has changed yards again. Others more persuasive.
Not shown an awful lot of natural ability thus far in five racecourse appearances. Off since late November and her stamina reserves look questionable over this trip having folded late last time.
Forecasts
Regina Nostra (13/8), Sweet Symphony (3/1), Alifax (7/1), Miss Milla B (7/1), Haverland (8/1), Hateya (14/1), Jazzy Girl (20/1), Zapateado (25/1), Powerful Society (25/1)
REGINA NOSTRA has improved with each run to date, culminating in a fetching victory on her first attempt at 7f when running on late to defy an outside draw. She gives the impression there is plenty more in the tank and an opening mark of 68 could well be underestimating her. Fellow handicap debutant Sweet Symphony could prove most troublesome, though Alifax commands respect back on a more suitable surface, having failed to act on fibresand last time.
