His two Kempton wins have been gained in similar company and he hasn't gone up too much for those wins. Might have just needed the run there after a break last time and now makes his Fibresand debut and it remains to be seen how he handles the track.

Looks an awkward individual and performed poorly on his Fibresand/stable debut although he may have needed the run. Ought to have the pedigree to handle this surface and may be worth another try here if his attitude can be kept in check.

His initial try here didn't offer much in the way of encouragement and he finished last having never offered a threat. Small drop in the handicap sees him drop in grade but he may need more than that to take a hand.

Her better form on Fibresand came a while ago and although she has run the odd good race of late she looks to have some work to do. Should appreciate the return to 6f though the extra furlong stretching her last time.

Still has to prove himself on this surface his two runs here so far being distinctly modest. His mark continues to fall though and there's every chance that his more than capable yard will find the key to him.

Off a career low mark and in a 0-55 handicap for the first time he managed a win here over 5f in January. Hasn't come close to that form in three runs since including when beaten in a Fibresand seller over 5f and needs to show more back at 6f.

A winner on his last start for his previous yard (David Brown) over 6f on turf at Yarmouth and he returns for a new yard off the same mark. Worth a look in the market although does have to prove himself on this surface.

Hardly in the first flush of youth but looks to have returned in good order with a win here (his 9th on Fibresand) and he looks capable off this mark of getting involved again. Dangerous to write him off here and looks sure to get involved.

Another regular here who pops up from time to time and he's run well on his last two starts here in fact the first time recently he's put good back-to-back efforts together. Has to prove he can do it for a third time in a row though.

Returned to form from out of the blue last time and certainly has the pedigree to be suited by this surface. Looks to be suited by further though and would be better suited by a return to 7f; needs to prove she can back up that run.

Forecasts

Inlawed (5/2), Coiste Bodhar (5/1), Sir Geoffrey (6/1), Teardrop Island (7/1), Yorkshire Rover (8/1), Monks Stand (10/1), Pretty Bubbles (10/1), Aragon Knight (12/1), Bop It (14/1), Donnelly's Rainbow (20/1)

Verdict

Scott Dixon fields a pair of in form “veterans” here in the shape of SIR GEOFFREY and Coiste Bodhar with the first named of that duo the more reliable of the pair and he should give it a good shot trying to gain his 10th win on Fibresand. His other contender isn’t as reliable and has to prove he can put a third good run together while another leading contender Inlawed needs to prove himself on this surface. Teardrop Island appeared to enjoy this surface but would be better served by an extra furlong and has to prove she can build on that run with Pretty Bubbles looking as though she will enjoy the return to 6f although all her form here is over further.
  1. Sir Geoffrey
  2. Teardrop Island
  3. Pretty Bubbles
