Starts out life with a new yard switched to Fibresand after taking four races (the first two in sellers) as a juvenile. Remains 2lb above his last winning mark and may be vulnerable to less exposed sorts.

Ran very free on her AW (Tapeta) debut after a long break in a minor event and now makes her Fibresand/handicap debut. May well be better suited by this switch back to 5f (hood removed); sire has a modest record here though.

Failed to impress on his debut for this yard although that run did come after a long absence over 6f. Should be more at home back over the minimum trip and is by a sire with a good record on Fibresand; mark falling to a more acceptable level.

The most experienced on this surface and arguably unlucky not to have won on the surface with two seconds to his name over C&D. Ran poorly last time out on Polytrack (6f) and will appreciate the return to his favoured surface and trip.

Has really blossomed since he's gone into handicaps winning his last two (the first over C&D). Clearly a versatile sort with regard to surface (won on Polytrack last time) he runs under a double penalty here but is hard to oppose.

Forecasts

Warrior's Valley (8/11), Milton Road (4/1), Samovar (6/1), Global Rose (13/2), Undercover Brother (16/1)

Verdict

With WARRIOR’S VALLEY having really taken off since he went handicapping it’s hard to oppose him here even under the impost of a double penalty especially as he looks very much at home on Fibresand. Samovar is the only other one proven on the surface and he should run another sound race although he doesn’t have the same progression that the likely market leader looks to have. The other three all have questions to answer on Fibresand but Milton Road is a multiple winner and if he takes to this surface he may be able to take the minor berth.
  1. Warrior's Valley
  2. Samovar
  3. Milton Road
